I read that you can wash and dry grapes, then freeze them loose. I know that people like frozen grapes (as in eating them still frozen) but has anyone tried freezing then thawing them to eat as a snack? Do they still taste and feel like grapes?

Growing up we have always frozen grapes....
we put them in our lunches to take to school...
They kept the lunch cool and made for a great snack at lunch.

I don't think they taste any different when thawed...

I also freeze blueberries... same outcome... taste the same as they did before frozen.

OMG I was just thinking bout freezing some grapes. How long can you keep em in the freezer?

That sounds good!

Mom used to freeze cherries -- so yummy!

Shelley....
We seem to keep them about a month or so... my nieces and nephews like them so they help themselves when they stop by... sometimes they go fast sometime they don't.

I keep blueberries about 3 months... sometimes longer.

Twink... never thought of freezing cherries...but mmm...those sound good too!!!

What a great idea! I usually put grapes in the refrigerator but can't eat them up fast enough and, sometimes, they get 'old' and I have to throw them. Now I can leave a small amount in the refrigerator for quick consumption and freeze them loose for a cool snack. They are just the right size to put in the mouth and the body temperature will allow for chewing and eating when ready...

Cherries and blueberries. Other great ideas. Thanks! :):trampoline:
