Not trying to offend anyone just give info.....so no offence please!!!!:Sigh:

I have just purchased the new Itec bra and undies from La Senza...or Victoria's secret in the US (large lawsuit about the fabric so La Senza used the bra despite VS having the patent so they bought La Senza...hope we get the gear as well)

anyhoooo......the bra is great like wearing nothing at all! Comfort galore and is a sexy treat to wear the undies are the same......

just a note.
take care all,
Victoria

HI,

Bras...ugh. Had surgery on right side four weeks ago and having trouble finding a comfortable bra I can wear. Only thing that works is the sports bra

Any other suggestions?

you can return it if you need to with in I think don't quote me two weeks if you don't like it. check with them before you purchase it. It is so soft and if you wear it loose enough I am sure you could handle it!!!!! go try one on if you are able or get someone to buy one for you. buy one the right size for you and then buy an extender you can get it from a sewing shop or I think now at the bra stores......see what thy have and if you need to wear it a little loose for a while then so be it.....try it girl you may like it the fabric is so soft as I said it is barely perceptable. No seems to make you itch I don't have to move the bra at all it is in place the same place all day and all night so hope this helps you

take care and good luck

It has been 2 1/2 months since my surguries, and I still can't wear a bra. If it has straps it makes me scream. The strapless ones ride right over the incision sites, and it hurts. I have tried a bustier, and it is very uncomfortable to wear. Not to mention that the plastic boning bends and distrorts from moving around. I am DD38, and it is very uncomfortable not wearing a bra. The weight pulls on my muscles, and the incisions and just makes the pain worse.
I am doing Atkins right now to try to lose the extra 75lbs I carry around. With any luck most of that weight loss wil be my breasts.
Anyone with ideas, I would love to hear them.

I just plain can't find any that fit well and are comfortable!

I hate under wires - they just dig in too much
{fatty armpits-LOL}
I like to have a bit of padding - but not the phony excessive push up stuff
and the ones I've tried on - they just plain don't fit my shape!

trix - If I lost some weight too I'd have better luck finding bras I think

oooh we are getting some big fluffy snowflakes right now- most of the roads are still warm from the last few days of 48 degree weather-
but tonite we will drop into 20s and then into the teens for about a week.
probably why my traps and shoulders are achy.

Uggg Bras - what an uncomfortable thing. Like Trix, I am 'generous' up there and finding bras in the right size are a pain in the butt...I suppose I better find something for post-surgery wearing.

Trix and Jo - I think too if I lost some of my extra 'padding' that some weight will come off upstairs...I am waiting to be able to hit the gym again.

Jo - the flakes are coming down here too...it's about the mid-20s (-4C) here. I have to head off to a meeting soon so hopefully it is just a passing flurry.

I just don't wear them  Then again, i'm a guy, so i can get away with that. Joking aside, I'm sorry that even this is causing some pain. If I knew of anything that would help, i'd let y'all know.

I just realized I had a comment to add here, even though it has been a while. I was just trying to wear an older bra, and realized what has been making my current ones so comfortable.

I wear bras that are a little bit big and have thick padding w/underwires. The thick padding/underwire combo makes it stand up on it's own so that the straps don't really hit my shoulders too badly.

I am only a big C/small D.

HI, I had surgery in Oct, and still swell so bad under the arm and around to my back, If I do have to go out with a bra it is so painful . I walked into a Baptism last weekend and announced "Make it quick, I only have so much Bra Time :) " So I will try that, Thank you all so much for helping me feel like I'm not the only one with these TOS problems that can be overwhelming to say the least...

my new comfy bra the last few months is the olga style 35040. the under wire is padded, and there are internal side supports made of thin foam inside the seamless cups. the straps are an extension of the front fabric in the front, and stretch in the back half. the straps are comfy and yet never fall down. it is a full figure bra and comes in up to dd cups. i have seen it at nordstrom rack, kohls dept store, macys, gottschalks, and lots of online places. the other olga styles were nowhere near as good. it is on sale a lot too. has to be hand washed because of the foam inside, i use veggie wash soap as it is easier to rinse out.

This is a topic that needs to be re-addressed from time to time; especially when someone finds a good thing!!

I am 1 year, 2 mos post op. size D and still trying to find a comfortable bra. I can't stand the feeling of straps!!:yikes: They usually end up hanging down my arms, say, mid triceps... not a pretty site! :Sigh:

Yeah.. I'm right there with ya Shelly, I wish a prayer was all it took to make them smaller so the pain would go away!!

I had a dream the other nite and I kept wanting to take my bra off in it.{ no i don't sleep with one on-LOL}
but in the dream people kept coming around so I would just get it taken it off and then have to put it back on - over and over....on, off, on , off..

I can't even find the right combo of cup size and band size:mad:

Jo, that is some dream. I wonder what it means? Did you LWN?

Don't laugh but the other day there I was at PT and there was another girl there and I was so envious that she was flat chested...sigh.

Where is Extreme Makeover when ya need em?

trix

extreme makover usually makes them bigger. We certainly don't need that.
What is LWN?

what shelleys PT or Dc told her about posture-
"lead with your n******"

hey shelley -shouldn't it be LWYN?

Shelley
02-08-2007, 11:41 AM
I guess it should be LWYN...lol.

And I figure what they can make bigger they can make smaller and suck a few extra pounds out while I am under.

I wouldn't complain about size if mine were at least back up where they used to be

For those of you who have insurance, have ya'll checked to see if they pay for breast reduction surgery? I know that many companies cover that because large breasts can cause so many problems, not the least of which is back pain. I know that sounds pretty drastic but if I was having as many problems as some of you are, I think I'd look into it.

Red...you actually make a good point. It's on my list of things to do. I am trying first to lose some of the "Lyrica weight" to see if it makes a differnce but I did talk to my doc about breast reduction surgery. He said lose some weight first and maybe 6-9 months after the TOS surgery we can address.

OK- took shelley's advice about lucy....stopped by on my way to work this AM and bought me a new bra-

It is a donna karan- I don't think they were the same ones Shelley has b/c they were more $$ but way comfy, super supportive. The wire is completely on the outside of the cup. Very wide strap.

That's the one. Super comfy and super supportive...I am locked in there...LOL. They are the only bra since surgery that does not irritate anything.

I got them in multiple colors and wear them everyday.

I haven't been able to wear a bra for 3 months due to shoulder and severe rib pain. I am very petite but wear a 40d bra usually. I now wear tank tops under clothes or a type called "Flexees" i bought at Kohl's. It is a tank top shapewear. It has NO shelfbra or underwires. I cannot stand any elastic at all under my breasts (ribs). I have also found them on other websites.

Hi Ihtos,
That's the way I am. I just have trouble wearing underwire bras or elastic straps. These sound great.. I Googled them and they are in abundance on the net. I may also make a trip to the store and look for them too..
Thanks for the advise.
Hugs

Picked up a couple of new bras from Walmart called "The Best Fitting Intimates in the World" (or your money back). They're padded pushups like the Wonderbra, underwire (well padded), front closing (didn't want to deal with twisting & turning for a back closer), tag free, and microfiber material (87% Nylon, 13% Lycra). It's a racer back style so they don't slide off the shoulders at all. Because of the padding, don't need to keep the straps tight so far it's pretty comfortable across the shoulders (next week post surgery will be the ultimate test). It's pretty low along the ribs on the side parts so hopefully it won't interfere with my armpit incision. Best of all, around here they're only $9 (might be cheaper elsewhere). Don't know if they'd be comfortable for someone bustier than myself (which would be pretty much anyone over the age of 12  ). They're machine washable on gentle cycle and look pretty good also. Walmart's stock there was low at the time I got them so they didn't have my size in other than white but they had pink, tan, black, and white as color options at that store. If the place I stay at at Hopkins has internet access, I'll let y'all know how they feel post surgery.
