Yesterday, I was prescribed Lirica. 50mg at bed time first week, then 3x per day second week with a continous increase until I find a balance that relieves pain but at the same time limits side effects to no side effects. My concern is that I drive an average of 200 miles per day, to and from work. Should I take the week off that I increase the medicine? Also anyone have complications with this medicine mixing with others. I take the following per day in addition to the Lirica:

Cymbalta 90mg
Avapro 50mg
Celebrex 400mg
crestor 20mg

I have a herniated disc (L1) displacing the nerve (S1) which is creating extreme pain. I had a steroid injection two weeks ago and has reduced my pain by half, so some days I have little pain but there are other days that my pain is moderate to heavy, but not nearly as bad as prior to the injection. I can have one more injection but the doc is trying to spread out the time and that is why we are trying the Lirica.

My name is Steve, I'm 61, married and have just been diagnosed with PD. I'm not taking/accepting it well. I have little hope. Would like to hear how others accept this disease.
