I saw others in my group talking about amyloidosis being mentioned on the "Informed Consent" episode. It's a shame the writers didn't take the opportunity to mention the fact that amyloidosis can be treated successfully if caught in time.

http://www.Amyloidosis.org is a good resource for doctors and patients alike. They are involved in spreading awareness, hoping that doctors will check for amyloidosis sooner rather than later.

Still, I guess it was good to have the illness highlighted. Most people have never heard of it, and most doctors have had little training on the subject. :rolleyes:

I laughed when I read your post because I have said that to my hubby for a year or so! I am presently undiagosed with multiple probls. Wish I could find a hospital like that too. Let me know if you find it!!

Man...I've missed House for the last three weeks in a row, and it's my favorite TV show. He's the kind of guy who you don't know whether to love or to hate. I told sombody once that I would love to fnd a doctor just like that, and she asked if I could really stand such a person for so long. My thought was that I could stand him for as long as I had too, but then maybe later I'd have to go back and beat him about with his cane...:rolleyes:

He was the dad on the first Stuart Little? WOW I would have never got that. I love the guy and can't wait for it to be back on. My daughter and I were all ready to watch him last night and boy were we bummed!

Hugh Laurie (House) has been doing TV , Stage and movies for a long time.
I remember watching him on a comedic show (Fry and Laurie) made in the UK in the 80's I think?

It was sketch comedy and PURE wit.:)

I've been a fan of Stephen Fry and Hugh Laurie for a long time and as much as I LOVE House....It's still hard getting used to him using an American Accent!! :o :D :o



P.S. Chase was on a soap opera in Australia and was an obnoxious teen, who would hrrump and stomp around being surly when he didn't get his way!

I was just thinking the exact same thing about that accent, then saw that you beat me to the punch...:p

I saw him once on the Tonight Show, and for me it was weird hearing him speak in his native accent!

What a tragedy that they had to slip a lil phony perscription writing in there though!

Yep, it was on again tonight. And again I couldn't watch it. It seems that the local TV station which carries that show has a problem of some kind that's kept it off the air for over a week now! Boy, what a bummer.

Did anyone catch the name of the book they zeroed in on, on the show last night in the bookstore? Not the one the guy picked up about frozen light but the one right before that. It was called something . . . Energy? I think it was blue. Thanks, Pier
