Hamstring knots

Does anyone get knots in their hamstrings. It is really bad when I am standing still, but is also a problem when walking too much.

I also get a achy pain in my IT band (this is the band that runs down the outside of the leg from hip to knee) does anyone else.

There are many reasons for muscle cramps. Have you been to your primary physician yet? If you go the normal route and still have issues, worsening etc. you could go to a university practice and see a neuromuscular specialist that focuses on muscle disease.
