my son is also 17..........we were reflecting the other day that he has been thru more in his 17 years than many people experience in a lifetime! but that it has actually made him so much more mature and compassionate and with a depth of personality that is often missing in others his age

That is so true.... hes one of the most compassionate kids his age i know.
He goes the extra mile to help out others.... definately a neat kid.....
now..... if we could just convince him to get over his fear of driving... :rolleyes:
