My cast is bothering me too - I think the MS may be settleing in there, It has been going numb at night time - I'm not sure just my own DX if you know what I mean. But I only have to have it on until the 29th.

I'm talented in the broken bones department and I know that sensation you're having, I don't think it's MS, I think it's from no movement. Kind of like the 'falling asleep' thing. Be careful not to rotate your forearm too much cuz it's connected to your wrist bones which are connected to the... sorry, you probably already knew that.

I'm down in coastal NC and Ceci and I are going to an air show today and I think it will be more about messing with people's heads than watching planes. We had a riot last night and the waitress didn't believe that we had only just met when we sat down. It was a blast!

I just got down here from Asheville last night and she was too excited, we went out for dinner and just laughed ourselves to exhaustion. The chick is worse than me!

It's kind of cool and poopie here this morning but I don't much care about that, I'm quite sure we'll have a great day all the same. I don't want to leave, she's way too much fun.

Tomorrow I head for Philly and the Mutter museum on Tues, then it's Gettysburg and homeward. I have my oldest friend coming in from CO on Sunday so I can't be quite as free as I prefer, but she's worth it.

I can't wait to see her. We're celebrating our 40th year of friendship this year. We can hardly believe that we are old enough to have any history involving 40 whole years. We were 4 when our mom's stuck us together and it took, we're pretty thankful for that!

Yep, I'm home. I'm pooped, but in that good kind of way. DM, my Sandi spells it with an "i". I'm not at all worried about being myself, it's all I know and all she expects. We're in for some marathon talking and she really needs it right now.

She's a soft little soul and she hasn't seen me this bad yet, it's going to wreck her and I'm trying to steady myself to deal with it when she comes unglued. Poor kid, it really hurts her when she sees how far this MS junk has gone.

It's kind of funny, once I get her over that initial hump, everything always sails right along.

Thanks, Char, we will. She goes out at dawn on Wed. Just a medicinal fix for her, she has a kid and a job and a life, unlike me.:rolleyes:

I'll see her in CO this summer and we'll be able to spend more time doing whatever it is we do... I'm never sure, but time does fly when we are in the same rooms.

Char, have you tried dumping some Gold Bond powder into your cast? It really helps with the itching (I have a long list of casted owies, in my former life I was a maniac).

Hey Char??? I had a cast on my foot when I was a freshman in HS and the Dr went out of town when I was supposed to go and have it cut off. Soooo, I went out to my Dad's workshop and got a tin cutter or whatever it was and cut it off myself... I would not advise trying this at home....

I was young, what can I say... I had places to go....:D :D

Hey you all, sorry I've been MIA, I just took Sandi to the airport, it was a little sappy, but we did have a magical couple of days. We ran up the lakeshore and visited the little touristy locations on Mon.; Sun and Tues. we hung out here and did stuff. She is also interested in woodworking so we spent the rainy day yesterday doing a project out there. She digs tools, it was fun.

We laughed way too hard, way too often— usually in the middle of the night. I swear, the girl is trying to kill me!

We're kind of mad at ourselves, we totally forgot to take a picture together! We'll remedy that when I see her in Aug.

My cast is driving me nuts.... some would say it is a short drive! Itchy - Itchy - Itchy. It was warm here last week and over the weekend so it got hot in there. I can see it is very dry - I have been trying to drive some cream down it but it really isn't helping. May 29th can't come soon enough!!

Hey, Char! Good to see you. Thanks, I'm working on the rest part right now. I dropped Sandi at the airport yesterday at dawn then came home and slept until 2:00pm. I think I was up for six whole hours before I went back to sleep for the night. Today, just loafing as neighbors are on parade celebrating the balmy weather. Lots of visitors, but I appreciate every last one of them.
