I apparently can't live without 4 cats. I had to put my Sweetie Pie down last mother's day. Still grieving for her, but found a new baby to give some lovin to. She's just adorable. My other 3 are slowly getting used to her. She got a clean bill of health from my vet yesterday and got her first baby shots. Awwwwww.

AWWW!!! Be still my heart :heartthrob: !!
She is so pretty!! And soft. And cute. And lovable. Oh, I want one of those :p
I've got three cats now (8+ plus years old). Before I got these three, I was up to 5 at one point. Lost all my old kitties :( and found the Mom to my 3 boys.
I just know she's gonna have a good home with you
Thanks for sharing. I love kitty pictures. Hugs.

You know calicos have nice temperaments and are really smart.
I bet you have fun with her!

Isn't she a dollbaby!? She sleeps at the top of my head at night. She's depserately attracted to my adopted feral, Annie, who has no qualms about keeping her queen status, lol.
Mrs. D. I don't think she'll get as big as my Chewie (Chewbaca). He's my polydactyl with 26 toes and 2 pads on each gigantic foot. He weighs 22 lbs. now.
She's adorable Doody and I love the tongue thing she has going on there. :heartthrob:
I always say, you can never have enough kitties to give a good home to.

I used to be the most finacky house keeper... My home was always white glove perfect, almost sterile! A dog was to live outside...never inside...same with the cats....Fish were ok...they don't stink up the house!
Then one day...I began to change my ways....allowed just one cat to come in. Then a little doggie.
I fought hair balls all the time....then when my long haired cat, Sylvester died, I swore I'd NEVER allow another cat to live inside my house!
Then my life changed...clean house out the window when fatigue and pain came in. I desperatly needed companionship as I was dying (long story). My doctors felt a Service animal woud bring me comfort as I didn't want to die alone. (I had a leaking anuerism that couldn't be found....I had severe anemia, too many transfusions...lost count after 25! )
Thats when my black Lab Satin came into my life....I had no idea they shed that much! OMG! Need to vacuum twice a day! Thats NOT going to happen around here!
One day while visiting a freind, found all these darling kittens, all black, long fur....destined to one day feed coyoties! I took 3, but one was for another freind who'd lost her 6 toed kitty. I named him Bitty-boo. His back legs are a little deformed and he walks funny. He was a runt, half the size of the others. His green eyes, stand out more than his golden eye'd sisters.
My husband shocked I'd brought all these cats into our home...but I promised the big footed cat would be gone as soon as he grew up a few more weeks. They were only 5 weeks old when I got them.
He latched on to Satin as she allowed him to "nurse" on her.
Bitty-Boo took a real liking to me...Tilly-tail and Princess identical twins, so we "crop" Tilly's tail...thus her name...Princess holds true to her name...she is such a snob! Very prim and proper....like a princess!
When I learned Bitty-Boo would live outside like her other lost kitty (coyote victim) I refused to let him go...he doesn't deserve to be eaten like all her other kitties were. Besides I began to bond with him.
He's now my favorite cat...now they're a year and half old.
Bitty Boo will be getting certified as a Pet Therapist this summer.
He's perfect for this...even loves strangers and is "OK" with traveling in my truck.
Tilly-tail loves my husband...she spends her entire day on his lap as he engineers important emergency radio systems for Motorola.
Princess and B-boo squable over their throne (on top of the copy machine, where its warm and has a wonderful veiw out the 2nd story window where birdies soar, and pond of Koi below.
There's often cat fights, causing commotions and distractions....I hear footsteps, then door slammed shut...all 3 kitties tossed out of their "sacred palace"...then come into their second most revered spot in our bedroom.
I have a tall cat house next to the window where I have several bird feeders.
Squrrels and birdies taunt all 3 cats...knowing the glass between them keeps them out of harms way.
There's a tiny Nut Hatch bird that keeps rushing up against the window that electrifies the cats....I'm hoping to catch this on video and post this.
I've no idea why this tiny bird keeps doing this to those cats! Weird!
Anyway...I didn't know what I was in for having 3 cats live indoors like this.
The cat box is a constant smelly mess. Their long black fur sticks to the upholstry...anyone sitting down on it walks away with half a cat on them! Ug!
My food always has little hairs in everything....those small hairs float then land in whatever I serve!
Its embarrasing! How to deal with this?!?
I tell people....like me, like my dog! You'll find a hair in every bite! Free of charge! Ewwwww! Oh well!
The pay off is they provide me with hours of comfort....something my family has not fulfilled.
Their love in unconditional and they could care less how messy my home is!
They don't care if I haven't brushed my teeth or combed my hair....the stinkier, the better!
My life is much different now...I'm not who I once was because of illness and fatigue.
These little freinds mean all the world to me. I wouldn't trade them for the world! Messy house and all!
Blessings, cheryl
Here's a pic of B-boo watching sunrise from this revered "throne"!

OMG, Cheryl. You sound like me -->> I'll just feed him this ONCE. He's hungry. He won't stay. My son is still laughing at this one.
My son worked as a TSA at the airport. He said, he's now officially 'shipped' cat fur to every country in the world :p
At least I have one cat who LIKES to eat cat fur. I can tell when he starts eating the sofa cushions that it's time to vacuum http://chocolate-moose.p5.org.uk/MINIS/roflmao2.gif

What an adorable kitty! It looks like a torty to me, so beautiful.
I was always a "dog person", never saw much use for cats. But after being sick for so many years, as well as suffering from "empty nest syndrome", lol, I found myself at the pound. I was going to "settle" for a cat, as I didn't think it would be fair to any dog to live in an apt. with two people who were too sick to walk it regularly. A cat made more sense.
I picked a calico, her name is Squeakers. She had only been there 24 hours, so I had to go back 2 days later to get her. I had already gotten everything a cat could wish for, lol, so we were set.
Then I gave her her first meal. Both wet and dry, side by side. She sniffed, looked at it, sniffed some more... then started to cry. It didn't take me long to realize that she had NOT been weaned, just ripped away from her mommy! (I later learned from the vet she was only 5 weeks old) She had not eaten in 3 days, she didn't know how. I spent the next three days syringe feeding her while teaching her to eat on her own. That cemented our bond, of course... I really WAS her mommy now :p
She has brought more joy to my life than I can ever say. You all know exactly what I mean, no need to explain!
Then, almost a year later, I noticed a pregnant stray on our block. I fed the poor thing daily, all I could do for her as she didn't want to come in. She and Squeak hated each other, it wouldn't have worked real well anyway, lol.
I tried for a month to figure out where that cat was staying, to no avail. With my rsd making walking rough, and the aids making being outside in the snow dangerous, I couldn't do as much as I wanted to.
Finally, she got skinny and I freaked out. It was the middle of winter in Idaho, what was going to happen to those poor kitties?!? It took me longer than was healthy, but I did it... I found them. They were almost a month old by that time.
Next step was to get the lady whose apt had the trap door to the crawlspace to let me come in and use it. I must have looked ridiculous, crawling on that dirt floor "meowing", lol.
I found 6 kittens, 4 plain black ones, one torty and one tuxedo. They were as feral as you can get, of course. I will never forget the tuxedo (he was the runt of the litter), hissing and spitting at me. He must have weighed all of two lbs, lol... but with the attitude of a professional fighter!
His name is now Groucho ;) and he has been my cuddle-muffin lap warmer for almost 4 years now. I never expected him to be so affectionate, with his feral start and all, but he is 10 times as sweet as Squeakers. She's the feisty one now, go figure.... but I love her spirit.
I can't believe that I was so stupid as to think I was "settling" for a cat, lol! Now the saying "cats rule and dogs drool" makes perfect sense.

That's a neat story Rogue. Sounds like me. When I took Annie in, my feral, that was a long hard road, similar to your's. She was pregnant as well and it was getting cold. But luckily, I was able to befriend her after she came her to eat for several weeks. Finally got close enough to me I could grab her and took her in, LOL.
She's a lover, but she's also still quite feral when it comes to other cats. It's her way or the highway. She wears the jewels and the crown. She tortured my poor Sweetie Pie, whom I had to put down last year because of colon cancer obstruction. She bit Sweetie Pie seriously and her wounds became extremely infected in a short time. It was awful. She just couldn't tolerate Sweetie Pie at all.
She does tolerate the other cats, and now here's my new Gracie, and Gracie just will NOT leave Annie alone, LOLOL! She's always pursuing her and jumping at her and pawing her and chasing her. But maybe that's a good thing because Annie will see her grow up to be a cat and have known her. She does seem to semi-tolerate Gracie even to the point of taking submissive cat positions.
Thanks for sharing your story. I'd like a dog as well but can't have one where I live. If I could, it'd be a small dog. But they take so much attention as compared to cats.

What a gorgeous kitty! I have a new kitten named Rocky. :) He's eight months old now. I got him from the local homeless shelter. Our last cat Sweet Pea died late last summer, she was ~20 years old and the baby of the family. I swore I'd never get another cat because of allergies, then I walked into the shelter and fell in love... :circlelove:

Isn't it strange how cat's eyes look that way in a flash picture? I noticed that recently.
She's a real sweetie!
I've got two cats - a mother an son pair called Minnie and Eric. Both are really affectionate and love cuddles - Eric is sitting on my arm and 'playfully' clawing at my chest as I write this :D

Doody, is that you or your daughter? If that's you, you're a young-looking grandma! :)
Rocky fetches like a puppy. He has these little sparkle fuzzy balls he chases and brings back.. :D He stops along the way to bite it and attack it and then drops it near my feet most every time... Although each night I need to get the yardstick out and retrieve his collection from under the couch and stove... :) That's one of the highlights of his day.
BTW, Rocky is my "grandchild" fix until I get lucky enough to have a real one! :) Your grandson is a cutie.

Definitely my daughter! :D
I know those sparkly little fuzzy balls you're talking about! They're so cute. And yes, broom...yardstick - using them all the time to get all the toys out from under the couch! LOL
And thank you, yes. My grandson is one heckuva cutie!
