Advocacy needed for better dollar spending

These kinds of thoughts are more for the advanced and somewhat older crowd and they aren't original. With the baby boomers aging, health care vastly insufficient, and the extra care chronically ill need, shouldn't there be a portion of the PD orgs, or the NIH, [perhaps they are I haven't researched this yet]spending dollars on future homes for the ill and aged? After the extravagance witnessed at BIO, it's easy to see there is enough money spent on entertainment and travel to build many of these homes. Patients are poor, organizations aren't. A branch of advocacy is needed for this.

Much money is spent on travel and entertainment expenses. People have no coverage for long term care, their eyes, or their teeth. Organizations could build care homes. Why shouldn't their funds go to patients?

"Build it and they will come." These could be clinical trial populations. It's about time the patients started making out on the deal. They have the most to lose and are treated disrespectfully and used. Pay them with a place to rent affordably equipped with help.
