So far this season has started pretty slow for me. 'On the lot' has been on for, I think, 3 shows now. It's going to have to do something pretty spectacular to make me enjoy it as much as all the other Mark Burnett productions. I don't like the hostess, she seems to lack any finesse. They are using the whole American idol format to introduce, give numbers to vote and then the whole elimination show. They could do the show in 15 minutes but they drag it out to an hour.
But I am looking forward to Thursday night for 'Pirate master'. From the website and all the trailers, it seems like it will be a good show. The website does warn you that there will be some degree of the haves and have nots. The captain and his crew are the haves and the other guys have to do as he asks like swab the decks, etc. But the searching for the gold and eliminations will be exciting. From what the website looks like, they have some pretty authentic charcters as contestants.
There is another Bachelor show coming out soon also, something about 'all about age'. I think the bachelorettes are divided between young and middle age for the one guy to woo into his lair. I have never been a fan of the show. I guess 'cause you can't find true love on a TV reality show.
Anybody else watching any other shows? I hear Canadian Idol is starting soon.

I finished another reality show that I had been watching on Bravo, 'Shear design'. It was based on 12 designers starting the show and each week at least one were eliminated. So tonight was the final challenge. I thought the challenges were almost impossible but it's over. As you could tell, I was really into it! But so far all I can find on TV are reruns.

I'm watching the Shear Genius finale as I write. So I don't know who won.
I'm looking forward to the Top Chef All Stars and the new season. Also am looking forward to Last Comic Standing. A great laugh sure takes my mind of my pain for a bit.
Don't forget Big Brother starts in July!

I'm surprised nobody has mentioned "So You Think You Can Dance!" It started last week, I think, so they're still in the auditions phase. It's on Wednesday from 8 - 10 here and then Thursday for one hour. Some of the wannabies crack me up! The Pirate one sounds interesting too!
Happy watching!!

Shame on me. I broke my rule to limit what SO terms "trash TV", reality shows.
Hello my name is Beth and I am addicted to trash TV.
I watched both Pirate Master and So you think you can Dance.
My head is hanging low, but I found them so enticing I set my vcr for both. :D
Sshhh, don't tell SO. Okay?

The african american guy won Shear genius.
Yeah I started watching 'So you think you can dance' last year and I'm hooked. I never knew there so many forms of dance. The true dancer has to be able to adapt to all of them. I liked the little guy tonight that did the robot dance thing, They let him try the choreography round. I think they knew he wouldn't pass but gave him the chance anyway, just like they did last night with the guy with the prosthetic leg. But they really respected this guy tonight and the hip hop choreographer is going to try to get him in a movie. These judges seem a lot kinder than the ones on American Idol
I really enyoyed Pirate Master. It's kind of like Survivor but kind of not. On their message board, they are really trashing the captain for the way he is acting. But I think he is just acting like a pirate captain would act. I don't think a true pirate captain acts like he truly loves his crew. And I am glad that John was eliminated. I can't remember what they call it. Oh, is it set adrift? I think he was really full of himself since he is a Chippendale dancer.
He really liked to touch the girls.
These two shows may make me drop 'On the lot'. I don't watch the cooking shows. I don't think I could watch 'Hells kitchen' at all. HGTV is going to start their new season of 'Design star' next month. It will be set in Vegas.
I haven't found any regular show this summer that Ii want to watch. It's either reruns of CSI or Law and Order ar all the reality shows. My husband pretty much goes to the family room to watch TV. He channel surfs anyway. Prison Break was about the only show we watched together.

I think John was to much into his hair. I wondered though, at the first of the show, his hair was long as in his bio pic. But during the rest of the show it was shorter. What gives? Of course Louie had the girls braiding his hair so maybe they have an on board salon!

Hasn't anyone watched any new reality shows this week? Where is everyone?
I was reading on the 'On the lot' web site and it seems as if they are in trouble. The Monday compitition night and Tuesday results night is no more. Monday will be compitition night, you get numbers and then you have to wait until next Monday to find out who is gone. Wasn't there a country reality show on bravo or CMT or some cable netwrk that had a format like that.
And their is a lot of bad comments on the Pirate Master website. I'm still hoping that one will work out.
'Americas got talent' starts this week and 'So you think you can dance' finishes up the auditions. Their were also a couple of Chef compititions that started. I don't watch those 'cause it would make me eat to much. Also the new Bachelor show is staring this week.
Come on guys, keep me awake!!!!!

I am a huge fan of Top Chef. Will watch the food network star this am since SO is making too much noise in the garage below bedroom to sleep.
I so enjoyed Pirate Master I hope it stays. Looking forward to Think you can Dance. I appreciate those that do what I cannot.

I watched Hell's Kitchen Monday. Wow! The chef is brutal, but I'm looking forward to next week. I like the idea that they actually are cooking in a restaurant. Boys against girls. As in life the girls talk the talk about being a team, but sure can't play nice. Julia the short order cook from Waffle House is the best. She has a strong work ethic and everyone else is so mean to her because she has no "real" kitchen experience.
Recording so you think you can dance, top chef all star charity thing and american inventor today. Last comic standing starts next Wednesday, yea! I find laughter to be such a stress reducer almost as good as sudoku.
What is everyone else watching in the "trash tv" reality world?

Tonight I had two reality shows at the same time. UGH. I chose to watch the auditions for 'Americas got talent' and switch over to On the lot during commercials. I can't really say I know what's going on the OTL anymore. But I don't know if they do either. I think it's a failing show but I guess they have to finish it because of the contestant directors that are there. But their chances of staying in the business is slim to none. I guess they are guaranteed some time with Steven Steilberg.
America's got talent is the same as it was last year. Sometimes Sharon what's her name can be to sugary sweet as a judge. I don't know how some of those potential contestants think that they will be rewarded 1 million for their quirky talent, like the guy that did the thing on the pogo thing.
I look forward to So you think you can dance. They are in the actual compition now so they aren't dealing with talent wannabees.

I am looking forward the compitition too. I've not watched any previous seasons but it looks to be intense. I've always been the one with 2 left feet but so appreciate those that can dance.
Tomorrow is that one, the start of Last Comic Standing, Top Chef and week two of American inventor. I'm going to VCR So you think... and DVR Last Comic and Top Chef and if SO is sleeping watch American Inventor.
Not sure how I'm going to juggle them all once Big Brother starts next month. Guess I'll cross that bridge when I get to it.

I really enjoyed SYTYCD tonight. You could tell that they were new at it and with each other. Some of the judges comments were that there was no 'chemistry' between the dancers. I really don't think that's fair to say at this time since they don't know each other yet. I'm really looking forward to seeing them advance. I guess I would say that the only one I didn't like was the pair that were the 'vagabond' dancers.
I find it odd that so many of these reality shows here in good old USA have foreign judges and hosts.
Well tomorrow night is Pirate Master. I found a neat sight that has a lot of spoilers on it. They have pictures pretty much to the end but sometimes can only speculate who is in them because of hair growth, etc. Apparently we have a new captain tomorrow night.

I was so sorry to see the first pair go tonight on SYTYCD. But someone had to be the first. They never really had a chance to show the public what they could do. It was unfortunate that the dance they were assigned to do had her in heels. She did look way to tall for the kind of romantic dance. I'm glad that the two that were selected to go were already a couple so that two other people don't have to get to know each other from scratch this week. I don't know if I'm saying that right but if you watch the show, hopefully you understand. Although I don't normally watch the kind of dance moves that are on the show, they are very beautiful to watch. I love contemporary.
As I thought, Azy.... I can't remember his funny name was elected Captain on Pirate master. I thought it was funny that he immediately developed an accent. I'm not sure his officers totally agreed with him evenly dividing the bounty though. But the crew sure liked it! I amazes me that some of the crew have come on the show and have no concept that it would be a physically, taxing job. I also think the challenges are kind of lame. Real pirates wouldn't have had the clues sitting out in the open like they are.

Just a side note for a reality show that normally would not be mentioned here. I watched Bob barkers last show of The price is right today. I was glad he got the award he got in the Daytime Emmys tonight. I will be anxious to see who his predecessor is. The girl that got on stage the first time is from here in my town. We were all proud although she didn't win much. She felt bad because the family made the trip for her sisters 18th birthday and she was the one picked to go onstage instead of her sister.

i agree it was harsh to eliminate 2 so early, but I think the point is to bring your best all the time. I wasn't impressed with last year's winners performance.
Azmyth and his accent was corny, maybe he needed to get into character. The whole show is contrived. I find it so interesting to see a sailing ship in action and the Carribbean water is so blue.

It seems to me either the reality stuff is a bummer so far this summer or we are all wrapped up in life issues.
Again I was stunned by the eliminations on So You Think You Can Dance for the 2nd week. Wha-at is going on. Maybe they are all too good. I don't know. I just wish I could move a fraction as well as they do.
I enjoy the torture of Hell's Kitchen. Haven't watched this weeks Top Chef yet. Pirate Master is losing it's edge and I will not record anymore.
On the bright side I saw a commercial for Big Brother it starts July 4th. Woo Hoo!
Anyone out there watching with me?

There are several cooking shows on that I think would be a little more
'gentle' to watch that Hells Kitchen. From what I've seen on the commercials, he really rakes them over the coals. So I haven't watched any of that show. I have watched some of Big Brother in the past, don't know if I'll watch it. Anyone watching the new Bachelor show, what is it 'The age of love'?
I guess I will always be a fan of the Survivor type shows so I'll stck with Pirate Master. They introduced a Captains pardon this week so that might make things more interesting. Louie is the captian this week. He didn't want to be. He said it tends to make people not like you afterwards. Their 'bounty' was quite small, only $5,000. I think he equally divided it like Azmyth. But he got JDs moneythat he paid for the pardon.
I've given up 'On the lot'. It just isn't worth watching. Plus the website is very slow to get into.
What do you all think of Rosi O' Donells quest to get the job on Price is right? I think she would try to make it 'her' show rather that a game show.

Oh, HK is so mean. It is very harsh but constructed to help them improve their skills. I enjoy seeing those that take action and those that crumble.
I too am looking forward to BB. It will give me something to watch several nights a week.

It's the beginnig of a new week and hopefully great shows for us. I always enjoy Americas got talent. I like Sharon Osbornes candid comments. I thought David Hass..... was just going to leave the show when Leonard the great or whatever his (her) name is. I was dissapointed when he got put through to Las Vegas. I didn't watch any of On the Lot, I am done with the show but I occassionaly read on the message board. I feel sorry for the contestants cause they thougth this would give them a big boost and a great opportunity to go further in their career. It also is interesting to read on the American Idol message board. There are some die hard AI fans that will talk until the next season starts. Jennifer Hudson got two more awards tonight. Just show you don't have to win the compitition to be noticed.

Tonight we had SYTYCD. I missed the part when Pasha and Jessie were coming on and didn't get why Jessie couldn't dance. The ladie that danced with him I think purposefully held back so that he could be showcased more but I think it actually hurt him because the dance wasn't as good. I did read over on the SYTYCD website and found out that Jessie has a heart problem and they will allow her to dance solo tomorrow night. If she cannot do that then she will be sliminated. There is a lot of discussion about it that she should be given more time to recover and then do her solo. I don't think so. If she needs more time to recover, the rest of the competition will also be very difficult for her and the tour. If she is a true dancer, she will realize that if you aren't up to snuff, you are out. I thought the Japenese dance was awesome. I really can't see it as jazz but it was beautiful.
So tomorrow night we have the SYRYCD results show and Pirate Master.
What are you guys watching?

06-29-2007, 12:45 AM
We had two rough shows tonight, the results show for SYTYCD and Pirate Master. I guess there was some controversial voting on SYTYCD and Jessie was voted off. She was sick last night and couldn't dance, did her solo tonight for her 'dance for your life' solo and was sent home. Some feel it was wrong for her to have to dance solo tonight because she wasn't voted out last night. Her partner was safe tonight so why wasn't she. For the guys, America didn't vote to put the worst dancer in the bottom three and the judges had to send home a good dancer. Sounds like Sanjaya all over again!
On Pirate mater, Americas favorite Pirate Louie who was captain, got the telescope wet and it was useless which put his team behind and they lost the challenge. I like it on PM that they don't have set teams like on Survivor. Each week is different. They just pull marbles out of a bag, kind of like drawing straws. But there are still some alliances. Everyone acumultes money throughout the show and they can buy votes. Or so they think they are buying votes. The person you are buying from doesn't always do what you are paying them to do.
On Hell's kitchen, is there just the one judge? I know on some of the other cooking, fashion shows there is a panel of 3 judges.
Oh, speaking of fashion shows, HGTVs Design Star is starting soon. I'm not sure I particularly like last years winner. His show is Color splash. I was kind of suprised that he has an assistnat that is very active in the show.

Well, I did it. I said I wasn't going to start another reality show. But after reading all you guys excitement over Big Brother starting, I turned it on. Plus it was right before Pirate Master. I'm sure CBS did that intentionally.
You guys are going to have to get me up to date as to how the game works. What is this position of power? It already started out with a lot of controversy. The original 11 are already disliking the other 3 and most of them don't even know them. They just dislike them because the other 11 housemates don't like them. Do they really have to sleep in those dinky beds? Is there ever any hanky panky going on when there are a gazillion cameras and mikes hanging around. The show says you can go into thier website and see for yourself what's going on. But is that for an extra fee?
Pirate master is still going alittle slow. At least tonight they showed a little more of the complexity of the challenge. Big ol' Louie has been a favorite from the beginning. He's kind of like Survivor's Rupert. And now he has to be in a tight alliance with Joe Don which he dispised from the beginning. Tonight it was just him and the girls against the tight Captain and his officers and some of the girls. Of course the big guys won again. I'm not Liking Kendra. She looks like the most unhappy wench, (pirate)!
I'll be glad when SYTYCD comes o next week. But next week Big Brother is on Sunday night and Pirate Master will be in it's new time on Tuesday night. i don't know what that will do to my other shows. I don't know when the finals of Americas got talent will be. Wow, I must lead a boring life if all I can watch is other peoples reality!

Thanks for reminding me BB started. I'll have to check the other DVR box. BB is on 3 nights a week. Yes things are as you stated, every season there are twists. Hanky panky happens with the night scope cameras (B&W). Good thing I took a 3 hour nap this afternoon. I'll have something to watch.
I missed SYTYCD this week too. I caught the last 1/2 hr of PM tonight. I had stopped watching a few weeks ago. Seems more cutthroat which is good for pirates, right?

Too many youngsters...I hope it doesn't turn out too high schooly..kwim? And an awful lot of pretty faces and bods. Should be more regular people and more diverse than it is. Hoping for an interesting summer.
Still watching PM, but not as exciting as I had hoped. It's like big brother on a boat..LOL

I used to be the one in the family that would hook up the VCR and figure out the remote. Now I can't figure it out at all!!!!!! I guess what is so confusing is how to turn the TV remote off and use the VCR remote only. It just doesn't work, well for me it doens't. And on the spot recording, well don't even get me started on that one. No telling what I would have recorded.
I like my old WebTV that was hooked to my VCR, I just programmed what shows to record and it was done, no question. I know that if we put out more money for our cable we would get a DVR with it. But that would just get me more cable stations with more reality shows. So on a lot of shows I watch one show and turn it over to the other during commercials. And they never seem to end at the same time so I get the all important ending. Plus I can watch complete episodes on the internet for free.

If you get the BBC America, Chef Ramsey has a show on tonight. A new season of Ramsey's Kitchen Nightmares. He goes to UK restaurants in trouble and tries to turn them around. I'm recording it.
Fox, in the fall will have a series with him called Kitchen Nighmares. Not sure it is going to be American makeovers or the UK version run on Fox.

I have never watched any of BB before this year. I guess it's OK, a little two gossipy for me though. I don't think any of those players are telling the truth in anything they do. I'm used to Survivor when the whole episode is run from challenges all the way to elimination. This 3 episode thing before elimination thing , I can't keep up with everything. Maybe it will be better as more peole are eliminated.
The two palyers I can't stand are Jessica and Jen. I guess Jessica is so shallow and her voice is like fingernaol on a blackboard. Jen is just to much of a drama queen. I guess I should put Joe on that short list to. Jen with the power of HOH may just be to much!
I think next week all the ousted players come back on Pirate master! Now to me that is exciting!
What do you all think of SYTYCD. I am enjoying learning all the different dances and how all these ballroom dances can be done to such modern songs. I had always envisioned ballroom done to 'stuffy' music. I don't know if that is the term I want but it's the best I can come up with for now!

I agree with all your BB observations and it will get better with less people. I love SYTYCD. This is my first season watching. Dancing with the Stars does ballroom to modern tunes. I think that twist is awesome. I sure wish I can dance. But, alas I am the white girl with no rhythm, so I live vicariously though those that can.
I may have to recod PM again. Since it moved to a night with less stuff on. I haven't watch SYTYCD results yet. I've been fighting a losing battle with a migraine since Tues. :( Sleeping helps or maybe its the unconscious. I've got an ice pack on my head now. I'm out of ideas and have two big events I must attend Sat. Wish me luck.
Beth -- I'm praying your migraine disappears by tomorrow. They're horrible things. Have a good time at your two "functions"!
I love SYTYCD -- that was always my dream in my younger (of course) days, to be a dancer. Took the usual tap, ballet, acrobatics, etc., but it just wasn't meant to be. Guess my mother wasn't pushy enough! ha ha ha ha There was a girl in my dance class who went on to be a Rockette at Radio City Music Hall in NYC. I grew up in NJ. She also did trapeze and the Spanish web. I was totally jealous!!!! Her mother was the typical steriotype of a "stage mother" -- pushy, pushy, pushy!! It's getting really difficult eliminating people now since they're all so talented. I agree, it's definitely a different twist trying to do those dances to such "odd" music.
Did anyone watch the two new shows about not forgetting the lyrics? I can't even remember the names of the shows!
How about America's Got Talent? I got tired of watching all the weird auditions, but now the voting will be starting so it should improve.
Doydie -- I'm with you. VCR's are Greek to me. I know how to put the movie in and take it out -- that's it.
Isn't it funny how all of these reality shows became so popular at once? Guess Survivor started it all. Happy watching!

I love those new 'karoke' shows. I like the one with Wayne Brady the best. Of course I would love him any day. The audition shows for any of these reality shows are so bad. I'm not sure if some of those people really think they have talent or just want thier one minute on TV. And the networks know that is what sells thier show so they give it to them. But now it will get interesting now we are down to the fianl contestants. I'm glad that Leonold the great didn't get put into the finalists this year. We had enough of him last year.

Another new week for all of us reality show junkies! I think I have read enough on all the shows websites that I have put to much on my computer. I guess I didn't say that right. You know all the shows have their own websites which have message boards. Well on some of those message boards some of the people have these big animated signatures. My computer is frequently telling me now that my 'virtual memory is low'. Well what a revelation! Oh, it'a of my computer. So I don't know if it is from all these animated signatures or not. I just now found out how to block those signatures so hopefully that will help. Cause I also get a nasty little message that 'Internet explorer is not responding' and my computer freezes up.
Any suggestions! :( maybe these cute little emoticons are clogging up my computer?

Oh Boy, what a dirty trick for Jen to nominate the Father/Daughter combo for eviction. That means that one of them will be going home.
Jen is soooo transparently jealous of the Daughter and hates the Father. What a Jerk, she is.
She's next!!!!

I believe if Jen hadn't won HOH she would have been nominated. Everyone is sick of her selfish actions. I couldn't believe she took down the pic w/her mom. The only family pic because SHE wasn't wearing makeup. I thought she looks better that way. She sure lives in a bubble, party of one. Wacked to the max. Just my opinion.
Didn't ya just love it when Evil told Jen off when she came into the bedroom and woke him by her babbling???? oops, am I babbling now????

The forum on the website is very active. What I don't like is that a lot of them watch the BB after dark and already know what is going to happen tomorrow night. And now, unfortunately, so do I. They have gotten a lot of warnings to post those in the appropriate place.

I will admit it now. I am watching two stupid reality shows. I don't know which was worse tonight, BB or PM. I guess I would have to say BB. Jen had to wear this red leotard thingy thing that showed all her things! And she has them in all the right places, to bad she is the most unliked person in that house for anyone to appreciate it. I think it was awful for her to nominate Danielle and her Dad for eviction. They seemed to be getting along a little better and she had to put the two of them against each other. But national TV isn't the right place for them to settle thier differences.
Oh did that exotic dancer ruin it for his team tonight on PM. They had a chance of a lifetime to get back in the game and dethrone the 'triad' and John lost the key to the chest of gold. So the triad is still in command. They still talk of mutiny but no one will cast a vote for it.
I guess I need a life, or maybe some better tv!

It's been a busy week and I haven't had a chance to talk about anyhthing in here. But it doesn't look like anyone else has either.
I missed Big brother Sunday and Tuesday nights because the family was here. Then was I suprised when I tried to watch Pirate Master to find out that it will finish the season on line only. I feel sorry for thier few followers that don't have computers or have dial up that will now have to stop watching. It was wierd today watching an hour long show on the internet. We buy these big 52 inch screens to enhance our viewing experience and then have to watch it on a 17 in computer monitor. But we now have a female captain and the captain that has been in command for the last four weeks and every week a guy has been voted off was 'set adrift'. Azmyth is now pirate history!
I enjoyed SYTYCD tonight. All the old partnerships are now off, each week they choose new partners and they all do a solo dance. So now we aren't voting for a partner team but an individual. I love Danny and Lauren
There also is a new game show that I like that follows SYTYCD. It's Don't forget the lyrics. it's hosted by Wayne Brday , who is a hoot anyway. It's very karoake but good.
I heard today that Drew Carry is replacing Bob Barker as the host of The price is right.

I haven't watched tonights SYTYCD yet. Will have until wait after SO goes to bed Thursday. He goes to hospital for block (for RSD) and as the 2nd one this week he will sleep most of the time afterwards, until Sunday.
I also like the DFTL w/Wayne Brady. It reminds me of Millionaire but with music. It is far superior to The Spelling Bee w/Joey Fatone. The 2nd episode was different/better then the first. They changed the games a bit. I'll not make an effort to watch, but if nothing else is on, I'll watch.
On BB, **** got HOH and put up Kail and Jen. Jen won POV and took herself off the block. **** put Mike, Kail's only remaining alliance member up for eviction. Mike had taunted **** during POV competition and **** gave up so Jen would win. That insured that Mike went up. Although Nick, who has a crush on Dicks daughter Daniele, almost went up. Daniele came crying to ****, I guess cuz she's starting to have feelings for Nick.
Oh, the food competition was for the whole house, no slop for anyone this week. They had to slide 2 at a time into bowls of pasta w/meatballs. On each meatball was a food. Each pair had to find a match (their choice). Whatever they got in alloted time was their food for the week.
I also recorded Wed nite, Top Chef and Last Comic Standing. They will have to wait also for viewing.

Hey crime buffs/junkies I'm watching ST Voyager, on Spike TV and just saw a commercial for a new reality show called Murder. I had to tell you all.
I think it starts next week. I should have wrote the time down cuz I can't remember when it's on. I know it is after CSI on Spike TV. Real people solving crime CSI style. I'm gonna have to at least watch the first episode. If I see another commericial, I'll do better and write it down so I can let you all know.

I've seen the commercial for the crime show also. It looks like a reality show cause they have teams with attache cases with I suppose equipment in it for solving the crime. I think all the CSI and shows like that have put such a heightened awareness on the general public on what all goes into solving crimes. But it also puts false expectations on juries, etc in getting results fast. They solve a whole crime in one hour where it might take a DNA test weeks to come back. Anyway that's just my 2 cents worth. But the CSI shows are still some of my favorite shows along with all the Law and Order.
I also am looking forward to HGTVs new design star. But for some unknown reason my computer clogs up whenever I try to go to the HGTV website. Last year I kept up with the message boards all the time for the show and now I can't even get onto the main website! Bummer.
It was so dissapointing to see Cameron and Jamie go on SYTYCD. From now on one of my favorite dancer will be leaving but that's the way the show is. I still have several absolute favorites, Danny and Lauren. I have never been to a real ballet but it would be awesome to see Danny in action. The way he leaps across the floor just gives me goosebumps. I think Lacey is just to full of herself, she is my least favorite, has been from the beginning. I wouldn't have minded to see her go right off the bat. She does have talent, but talent isn't everything. It is also very interesting to see what Cat will be (or not) wearing each week.
Forgot to add about Big Brother. This is my first season watching it. iI can watch one show and just turn it over during commercials to BB and I don't think I'm missing much. I will be glad to see Jenn gone though. I'm still not sure about **** and his daughter. She is a little spoiled and I admire him trying to patch it up with her. I don't think with his temper that national television is the place to do it. On BBs website there is some talk about a "gay' as HOH. It doesn't matter a hill of beans to me that he is gay or not. What has that got to do with it, as long as he is willing to take his responsibility seriously and take the flack afterwards. I am glad that I haven't subscribed to the BBAD, I guess it gets kind of racy.

I concur, I think Murder is a reality show from the commercial.
On SYTYCD I thought Dominic would go, I think he did too. I guess he has more voting fans. Pasha has alot of fans too, cuz Mia (I think) was the one who said she thought he would go tonight. Lacey is starting to get on my nerves finally. I've been focusing on her talent, I guess. Lauren has been a fav of mine too, but I think Sabra is top girl. I like Sara she's from out here and is picking up other styles well. I hate to lose any of them now, but that is the game. I think Neil my go next, although he's finally impressing me. Not that I can find the rhythm.
I don't think BB needs to be on so often. They seem to repeat every show in part. But, I still enjoy the break from my reality. Although, I cannot watch it live, it just drags on and on. Just my 2cents.

I have never watched the live feed for BB. 3 times a week is enough.
I think Danielle is being a little pissant, laying in bed and kissing ----, while her loyal boyfriend looks on. Poor guy!! He says that it's all about trust and that she is just confused right now. What an understanding Guy......or Fool!!
I think I'm glad Kael stayed? Yes, Jen will go soon. She won't be able to save herself forever. I don't know if I like Evil Dad or not. He is not a nice guy, that's for sure.
As far as the homosexual being HOH, I don't understand what the deal is. BB has always had a Homosexual in the mix. I like this guy but I didn't like his former boyfriend and I'm glad he's gone.

I agree, BB is on too many days in a week. You could squeeze all the shows into one. They do it on Survuvor and Pirate master. There are so many characters I would love to see gone...Jenn, Dic, Amber, Kael, maybe even Danielle. I truly don't think this is the appropriate time and place for Dani and her father to patch up thier differences. BB is definetly a show I can watch during commercials from another show.
I will be glad when Survivor starts back on. Pirate Master just didn't take off. I feel like I am a lucky one that I can finish the show on line, so many others cannot. If any of you have watched it and are addicted but can't watch it now, I'll try to keep you up to date. Just let me know.

Sure thing MSacorn. This weeks episode, they start out with having a big feast on land and stay the night at this place. The next morning Cameron comes out and says the clues start where they are. First twist of the night is that Azmyth no longer has his trusty first officers on his team. They have to choose teams like everyone else. So they are with some of the girls and Louie is with Azmyth and girls. The guys and girls find the treasure. It is $50,000. Can't remember which guy said it but they suggest a girl for captain so they elect Christa. Then Cameron comes in with another twist. There are no first officers and no split. Captain gets all the money! She doesn't know what to do bcause $50,000 was her dream amount of money to win for her and her child. But she decides to split it up.
My mind draws a blank here. The girl that looks so wishy washy and gets black spotted almost every week. She has the royal pardon from last week. So Christa black spots her again but agrees to bid $12,5000 for it herself so the wishy washy one will be safe and the other person will go home. So Azmyth is now gone. The royal pardon can no longer be used now. I would imagine Cameron is wondering why in the world the captain would bid for the royal pardon!
I hope I hit all the highlights for you.

One of my favorite reality shows started tonight!!!!! HGTV design star. I think it has a little more class to it than the other reality/compitition shows do. This is the second year for it. Last year the first one to be eliminated was a funky looking older lady who designed using found items. Well when this lady tried to get all the used phone books she could to do her design, I knew she was out. Gee, maybe I should go out and buy a lottery ticket I was so right. The first task was for them to design thier own space. It looks pretty good.
Oh, I watched an episode on Food network, Food challenge. Onely reason it interested me was that they were making Disney Princess cakes. My almost 6 year old grandaughter absolutely loves Disney princess. it was neat seeing these cakes that had to be at least 3 feet tall.
I also watched BB but there wasn't anything worth mentioning. I guess it might be more interesting to watch the episodes if I didn't read the website and the threads tell you what will be on because they watch the BB after dark that goes on all week and you know what has already happened.

BB was kinda boring. Although, the fact of the mystery mustard squirter and voter for Kail last week were linked as possibly the same person, by Jen.

I wish they would quit showing Amber cry so much. I'm sure her family is taping this and she will probably be so embaressed at how she looks when she crys and how often she did it! I'm for Nick going home, mainly so Dani and her father can work everything out. She is so focused on Nick so much, and unfortunaley not on her boyfriend. That's going to be a whole new can of worms when the show is over and she goes home.
I don't watch BB that much. When you read over on the message boards, you already know what has happened before it's telivised. So tonight I watched So Americas got talent and then Shaqs big challenge. I watched BB during commercials.
It was so refreshing to see those 6 middle school kids loose all that weight in 9 months and get a control on thier obesity. And the team was able to get the govenor of Florida to implement some of the changes in the school system.

Watcthed SYTYCD tonight. It nerver ceaases to amaze me how theses kids while trained in one particular dance can do so weel in other styles. My two foavorite now are Sabra and Danny, followed clasely behind by Lauren and Pasha.
MSacorn, I tried to watch the episode online but it never would load so I just read the episode recap. Since there were an uneven number of 'pirates', the teams were 4 and 3. The black team won again so Christa is still in charge. Her take was $40,000 and she again devided it evenly between the four. Last week her stragey in assinging the black dots were to poll the whole crew so that the blame would be off of her when they were handed out. She did that again last night. So last night it was Kendra, again, and Nessa. She had made a fake pact with Nessa, Ben, Jay and herself to go to the final four all the time knowing that she was putting a black spot on Nessa. Nessa is a fierce competitor. So Nessa was unanimously voted off.
Anyone watching Americas got talent? I love that young 14 year old country singer.

I recorded that Murder show on Spike but haven't watched it yet. Maybe tonight since I napped after my dr appt. After GH and SYTYCD, of course.
I watched AGT yesterday. I don't have a fav but I'm partial to Cas the singer. I thought the tumblers were awesome, but is that a talent or a skill?
Well back to GH and surfing. I must shut puter off for SYTYCD so it can have my full attention. LOL

OK, I'm clueless, what's GH? I think I'm finished with BB. It's worse than a bunch of high schoolers on that show. The message board is even worse than that. At least on TV they try to bleep out the foul mouths, not so on the meassage board. I even compleatly forgot it was on tonight. I might occasionally go to the website and see who has won it.
It is sad to see anyone go on SYTYCD at this point. Both Sarah and Dominic are awesome dancers. As far as the solos at the beginning, what in the world was Pasha doing. I know it's difficult for a ballroom dancer to do anything solo but I really didn't even see anything more than swinging his cape around. Lauren had been my favorite but it's now between Danny and Sabra.

BB is very juvanile, but such a diversion from my reality. That is why I record so I can fastforward through the junk. It's good live if on the puter and don't have to listen intently.
SYTYCD is heartbreaking. The only one I want to leave is Lacey she seems so phoney. I loved Sara cuz she was from Colorado. Dominic has such appeal too. Sabra just rocks she can do it all. Danny is best dancer technically but his personality sucks.

You've got to watch Hells Kitchen, Chef Gordon Ramsey is great, such a straight shooter.
BB, I can't cheer for Jen, she is still so selfish. I was thinking that's just her plan to play the game that way. Then I thought she is just young ,23, it still didn't make me like her more.
I like Evel D, although his straight talk is annoying to say the least. He has a soft side and loves his daughter so much. Amber my gosh when she gets out of the house and sees herself crying and red eyed so much, I hope she doesn't cry. I wonder if her life is such that she cries in it too.
The mohawk style that is going around is so stupid and ugly, imo. They must really be bored to do that so early in the game.
I still haven't watched the Murder show that premiered on Spike this week. Did anyone watch it?

Ok, I finally watched the new show called murder. Programmed the dvr on one of our satellite boxes. Started the show and it was already in progress so I missed the first 10-15 minutes. So bummed. But, as a bonus, I did get that same amount of time of another show at the end.
Anyway there are 2 teams of 3. One group was parametics and I think the other were firefighters. They have like (I'm guessing) 40 hours to investigate the crime. They go through the crime scene (missed that part), meet with the pathologist who performed the autopsy. A real detective give them evidence as it comes in bit by bit and the suspects. One member of each team got to shoot the weapon at a watermelon filled w/blood. They confer to figure out suspects, and try and put a case together. Then they get to visit the crime scene one last time.
Now it is time to present their cases on who they thought committed the crime. The team that wins gets money donated to their favorite crime victims group.
The kicker is that these cases are based on real solved crimes. There are actual pictures of crime scene and autopsy photos interspersed throughout the show. At the end the detective states the actual facts of the case and charges the supect was convicted of, and the sentence.
Overall, I found it well done if not a bit graphic with the actual pictures and bloodstains at scene, etc. I hope it was recreated. Hopefully it will start on time next week and I can see the beginning. If you like real crime and think you have csi solving skills, watch for yourself.

Wow, on that show Murder, do they get the families permission to use all that footage? That would be terrible to see your loved ones guts and gore hanging out for everyones entertainment.
I was just reading the HOH diary on the BB website. I guess Dustin has this pack with Amber, Jameka and Kail and it was his intention to nominate Kail against someone that everyone hated so that he could save Kail. I wonder what Amber will think of herself when she watches all this. She said she is just a very emotional person. But gheeze, she is way to emotional. There is rumor, and you have to take that for face value, that Jen is nanny to Vanna White.
Anyone watch the reality shows on TLC? I really like What not to wear. And they have a new one A model life. They take these mostly inexperienced models and try to help them gain a portfolio so they can jumpstart thier career. Tonight they were doing swimsuit modeling. In the past couple of weeks they had told the girls that they needed to get thinner but one girl just didn't want to do that. She showed them tonight that she could definitely be a swimsuit model for Sports illustrated.

I would imagine they have family's permission on murder. The case was from like 5 years ago. As I said I missed the beginning setup info.
Jen is nanny to Vanna White. Well if so, my admiration of Vanna just dropped. I really thought Dustin wanted Kail out. Well knock me over with a feather.
I love What Not to Wear too. That is another one I usually record. Wish I had a job so they could nominate me. I throw darts and everyone wears tees and jeans mostly, so they'd never nominate me.
Have you seen The Parker on Bravo? This was the 2nd week. It is a Palm Springs Hotel on property that includes Gene Autrys old home. Wow the rich live in a so different reality. It is behind the scenes from the employees perspective.
Tonight I also watched Thurs. episode of Ramsey's Kitchen Nightmares on BBC America. He is the chef from Hell's Kitchen this weeks restaurant turnaround was a miracle in my book.

I'm sure glad that you were just questioning me as to Vannas nanny. I feel sorry for Jenn being anyones nanny. My oldest daughter was a nanny for about 6 years and took it very seriously. Most of the families were very good to her, one was not. She was very glad to put in her resignation.
Anyone watch HGTVs Design star last night? I still can't get on thier website. I can get on HGTV but not Design star. I think last year one of the teams didn't finish the room and they had to hire contractors to do it. That is a sure fire way to get 'your show cancelled'. I believe both of the team captains got cut last night. I get a kick out of sparkle Josh. He would be beautiful as a woman. He walks and dresses like one. But he sure can find a bargain and decorate a room.

I guess I should change my mood from tired to hot. And just to clarify, I'm not hot, sexy hot, but just hot. Temperatures are in the upper 90's with a heat index of mid 100's. Monday is my husbands day off every week and we take his Mom out for lunch. She is in a wh/ch and broke her hip several months ago. Last week was the first time she was able to go out with us since the fracture. So it takes two to get her out of the car. I stand behind the wh/ch and kind of guide her 'butt' and my husband is actually helping her out of the car. I sure wish though that I could rush on into the resteraunt and wait for them. And today of all days she wanted to go to Walmart for a few things.:Melting 2: :icon_redface:

I was reading over on the BB website and someone said that BB is all about Character, some one else said that it is a good family show. Wow, good character. Everyone on that show lies through thier teethe. And the words that come out of all thier mouths, not a good family show. Well maybe it would be if it's the kind of show you watch with your kids and then sit and talk about it. But it is addictive! I say I don't want to watch it and don't want to read the website but I still do.
I just wish I could figure out why I can't watch Pirate Master on line. I watched episode 9 but I can't get 10. All it shows me is all these AT&T commercials and then nothing. I read episode 11 of Pirate master. Kendra was finally cut adrift. She had a black spot for the last 6 episodes. It started off with Ben and Jay deciding that which ever did not got on Chritas team, if the found the clue that they would secretly show the other guy. Ben was on Christas team, Jay saw the clue and showed to to Ben. The joke was on all of them becasue the treasure chest came up empty! Apparently it was the one pirate that swinlded everything away form the Captain that he could. But it allowed Christa to stay Captain and that was what everyoen wanted.
The guys came up with the idea to put Louie, it was his idea also, up against Kendra so that it would guarantee Kendra leaving. So that's the episode ina nutshell.
I am wondering how they will have the finale. it's a shame that they would have to keep it online. It would be a tribute to their loyal fans to at least put the finale on TV.

I completely forgot that BB was on tonight. Just from reading the thread titles I couldn't see who got POV. I guess next week will be the end for A,ericas got talent. They witlled the final 8 down to the foinal 4 tonight. My favorite is the young girl. Her rendition of Somewhere over the rainbow was breathtaking. My next favorite is the ventriloquist. My least fov is Butterscotch. Yes, she has talent but I'm just into her talent.
Laurel got cut adrift on PM. Before Kendra left she told the captain, Christa, that Jay was just playing her so that he could further himself in the game. So Christa had decided to blackspot Jay tonihgt. But then someone else told her that Ben and Jay were talking behind her back and Ben was lying more than Jay. So Ben got the blackspot instead. So goodby Laurel. So it's down to the final four, Christa, Ben, Jay and Louie. Louie is the most well liked-among all the players that have been voted off. He is not a strong pirate, can't run or swim fast. They still have not shown how they will finish the show.

Well I just finished SYTYCD. What an amazing show. Didn't like Lacey and Sabras routine. It was supposed to be a mother and baby fox but like Nigle said, it did show that Sabra knows how to nuzzle Lacey. And to me that's what it looked like, two women making love. But Danny and Neils routine was wonderful. it showed off their athleticism perfectly. They ended the show perfectly with Danny and Sabra. I have checked over on the prediction site and from their results, which don't show any text or online voting results, only phone, Sabra is #1 then Danny, Lacey and Neil. But it is an innacurate result. Danny is my #1 choice then Sabra. So I'm happy.

Only reality show I watched tonight was HGTV Design Star. It was a strange episode, they had to design for a wedding reception. The couple wanted a true Las Vegas style reception. I was sorry to see Will go. I guess I was most sorry to see Rob win the challenge. It was a double elimination again tonight. All the contestants made up a style board for the reception and the couple chose their most and least favorite. Christina had the least favorite. She made up a very feminine board, not taking into consideration the grooms wishes. It was very pretty though.
I remember last years show lasting longer. This year they started out with 11 contestants but for the last three weeks have had double eliminations. It won't last long this way.

I haven' watched that one but TLC had 'Clean sweep' and Style has Clean house'. Necie Nash (Sp?) is the host on Clean House and she is a bit irritating. But I do enjoy their shows. What I can't get is why they can't agree to give up their mess. They called the show to get some help but yet they don't want to get rid of the mess.
Another one of my reality shows ended tonight. The ventriloquist won on 'Americas got talent'. I would have preferred the young girl, Julienne, but he was my next choice. David Hasselhoff sang and I wouldn't have voted for him at all.
Today is the day that pirate Master puts a new episode online. Yeah, that's weird. For anyone that has been following, they were down to the final 4. So when the captain blackspots 2 of them, only one eprson can vote. So that one person can choose one of the pirates that have the black spot or mutiny the captain. So that person carries a lot of weight. During the challenge, Ben and Jay agreed that whoever was on the team with Louie would throw the challenge so Christa could win and stay Captain. So Louie was set to lose which ever way it went. Fast forward to the Pirates court. Ben has to get it off his shoulders. He tells Louie that he threw the challenge. Jay votes to eliminate Louie. So next week its Christa. Ben and Jay. But the preview show that the whole crew come back, all 13 eliminated pirates. It doesn't show what role they have. But the 3 left are on thier own next week, no crews.

But after the production ended in mid-May, the parent of one child in the production complained to state officials that the children's treatment bordered on abuse. Four children received medical treatment for accidentally drinking bleach, one child was burned on her face with hot grease while cooking in an unsupervised kitchen, and most of the children were required to work 14 hours or longer per day. BB was really lame tonight. Dani and ED had arguements. And overhearing the 2nd argument Jess/Eric together in HOH bed decided 2 fights in 2 days they must be staged.
They had the first luxury competition. Divided into 2 teams by Jess she chose boys v girls. They dressed in clothes, and each piece had a letter on it. They had to spell 3 words by taking off their clothes and hanging them up on a clothesline. Soap bubbles were dispensed on both sides of the wall where the teams hung their clothes. The girls won. The prize, a 2 minute shopping spree. They could keep all they put on themselves.

He got that task completed pronto. I think it's so funny watch Eric and his mouthwash just before he goes and kisses Jess.
They showed scenes on the Power of 10, that Dani and Amber were on. I've got that one recorded, but Amber be Dani and got to play for the big money. She got to the $100K question, missed it and dropped down to $1000 won.
Eric won the power of veto. He chose not to use it. Jess wanted him to use it so that D i c k or Dani would get backdoored to the block. On Thursday either Amber or Zach are leaving.

So were the players on BB8 actually nude? PM finished this week. My cable company, Sigecom, switched over to WOW network on Monday and I guess they were still having trouble on Tuesday cause I couldn't log on until 2PM today!!!!!!!! So I finally was able to watch the finale. Luckily since it wasn't that popular of a show it wasn't mentioned on amy of the networks. Ben won. Last week when he was black spotted by Captain Christa, he confessed to Louie that he threw the challenge so that they would loose. So he and Louie talked in this episode and Ben offered him the money he got from Christs last week which was $12,500. Louie was pretty far down in the money winnnings so he readily agreed.
The show started out with Jay, Ben and Christa all competing individually. Ben won which put the other two on the black spot. So here come all the ghost pirates back who are the jury. They choose Christa to go up against Ben on the final challenge. So the two get to pick 3 others for a crew. I felt so sorry for Louie. He wanted to go so bad but he is a liability instead of an asset due to running so slow. I think Ben won in the end because he, being a man, was stronger. They had to lug a heavy crate through the jungle by themselves.

on BB, the players were nude except for soap bubbles and stratigically placed gray spots edited in before airing.
Thanks for the PM finale info. It sure turned into a dud of a show. I would have thought with the successes of the pirate movies with heartthrob Jonny Depp and Survivor tv show, it would have been better. Oh well.
I've got to watch Last Comic standing to see who was eliminated. Then the final 4 completed tonight too.

How are all your shows going? It's been kind of quiet on this thread. Only one I'm watching right now is HGTVs Next desgn star. I think the season has gone quicker this year. Next week will be the final challenge and then America votes. Up till now the judges have done all the eliminations. The final two are completely different design styles. One is wild and the other conservative. It will be interesting what America thinks.

I watched BB tonight (Sunday) and Zach won HOH in the marathon competition, narrowly getting by D i C k. Noone wanted to see his HOH room. He nominated Jessica and Jameka for eviction.
Eric told Jessica he was the one to cast the misleading votes most were blamed on Nick or Jen. He also copped to the mustard incident. Eric said (to America) it was because he wanted to come clean on the chance they have a future. America wanted him to get Jameka nominated, so that task was completed.
Eric won a phone call from family to keep or give away during the HOH competition. He gave it to Jessica. Jessica got a call from her 20yr old brother who just returned from Iraq last Friday. He feels really bad that he didn't use the POV last week to take someone off and have D i C k or Daniele put on the block. That may have prevented Jessicas nomination today.
Design Star is way quicker this season. I've not watched it yet tonight.
I am still watching the crime show on Spike, Murder. I enjoy it. It is way more difficult to decide what evidence may be important to get the murder solved. If you like CSI you may like the show.

On BB (Tues) everyone participated in the veto competition, HOH, 2 nominees for eviction and the 3 other housemates. Janelle from BB seasons 6 & 7 was the host. It was called Jannellivision. One by one the players sat in a big comfy chair and were spun round an round for 60 seconds. They then had to run a path to the other side of the wall. There was a screen with 2 houseguests swirled together and you had to guess as many as you could in the time allotted. Dani won the POV. Later she decided to leave the nominations as they were.
Eric is really worried (and rightly so) that Jessica will be voted out. He had a convo w/D i C k to try and solidify the alliance between the four of them. ED and Dani are wanting Jessica out. They are the only two voting besides Eric. America wants Eric to vote out Jameka, which he would have done anyway to save Jess.
Eric's task as Americas Player was to mimic the houseguest selected 3 times before the veto ceremony. He had to mimic D i c K. ED just laughed at Eric and Eric enjoyed teasing ED.
The preview said that Thursday is a Double Eviction, so it will be a surprise how they do that. That will bring the house down to the final four.

I agree, those two gotta go. Eric creeps me out a bit with the nipple rings. Since someone pointed them out to me, they are everywhere. Yuck!
I'd love for Jessica to win. Her voice still annoys me a bit, but she has a good heart and that goes a long way in my book.
May have to watch it live tonight instead of waiting for it to record and avoiding the commercials. We'll see. A nice mindless diversion sounds like a perfect evening to me.

Here's the long summary, to go with Sally's cliffs notes version, of Thursdays BB. :D
All were told of a double eviction that night. By a vote of 2-1, Jessica was voted off. She told Julie Chen she Loves Eric.
HOH competition, D i C k won. After commercials had to announce nominations, Eric and Jameka.
POV competition, Dani won. She chose to leave the nominations.
Second eviction vote. Eric was voted off, 3-0. As America's player for every 5 tasks completed he won $10,000. For a total of $40,000. The second place runner up on the show only gets $50, 000. I'd say he made out like a bandit.
The final four are D i C k, Daniele, Jameka and Josh.

Design Star finished up its challenges tonight. Anyone else watch it? I thought both rooms had their worth. I would be more pleased paying that amount of money for Kimms room though. Todds room would have been nicer in a more modest hotel/resort. Also Kimm listened to the judges suggestion, Todd did not. But that's Todd. He believed in his vision and wanted to stick with it. I will be visiting with the grandkids :circlelove::OuttaHere::Crazy 2::Heart::Excited::inlove::partytime2::trampoline: :Head-Spin::BeamUp::Dancing-Chilli::Grin-Nod: next week when the have the finale and reunion show. Can you tell I'm just a little excited. It's been about 6 weeks since I have seen them. I got a new camera this week and I sent it with my other daughter this weekend so she could get some pics. I know, silly of me, I'm going to be there in 7 days.
The camera. My husbands employer gives nice service awards. When we first started there it was just the customary service award jewerly. But starting our 25th year, they had a nice catalogue to choose from. This was his 35 years and we got a nice digital camera. It's my first. I have been more than satisfied with my Advantix camera for about the last 10 years. It's a Sony Cyber shot w55 and has several buttons and each button has a menu under it. It will take a lot for me to get used to it. Oh, in case you are wondering, we started work on the same day. That's how we met.

So what happened tonight on BB? I watched the first episode of Biggest Loser. I don't know how those guys do it, I guess they have such a controlled diet and excersize many times a day but the biggest weight loss for the week was a guy, 62 years old, with 30 pounds!!!! There's a twist this year, don't they always. They started out with 18 people, they had a contest to choose red and blue captains which chose their two teams of 6 apiece! So that left 6 people on thier way home! Think again. Jillian showed up, so they now have a black team that the other teams don't know about! And boy is she working them.

SURVIVOR started !!!!!!!!! Can you tell I am just a wee bit excited. I was kind of suprised about the first person being voted out. Being an older person and the experience he has, he should have been a leader. I must say that James rocks! That man has it all, beauty, braun, everything. I guess what he lacks is social skills. The radio talk show host, can't remember her name. It's going to be interesting how she does. She couldn't stay in the Budhist temple and do all the things the locals were asking her to do. But the Immunity idol looked kind of Budhist. They were kissing it and everything. If the individual immunity is also the same, will she wear it? The two teams are so different, one has a goood structure, physically and team wise. There sure are some boobs, literally, on this season.

Tonight I think I hit an all time record. I watched The biggest loser, Dancing with the stars and The beauty and the geek. I recorded the first hour of TBL, watched the 90 minutes of DWTS and during commercials and long introductions, I watched TBATG! After the 90 minutes of DWTS I turned TBL on and watched the last hour. So tomorrow I will watch the first hour and the season premiere of House. All this is getting hard to keep up with. I feel I am really turning into an ADDICT!
OK, how did I think the shows went. I felt so sorry for Wayne Newton, I don't see him lasting long, I hope he takes it OK. I don't know how the millionaire got the scores he did and the boxer kind of boxed his way around stage. So I think it's a tie for the bottom three. My favorite was the Indy 500 guy. His natural Brazilian moves came into play.
TBL. Jerry! The team Captain, the one who chose everyone of you! You vote him off! I know everyone pulled small numbers but he's the team captain. But he has lost a huge amount at home and that's the reason they did it. He looked great at home. I was glad the red team finally won a weigh in. I like the trainers at the weigh in. It makes them a little more accountable.
TBATG. Remember this is my first season to watch it, so all the challenges are new to me. I like the concept of it. I think I like how the women are doing more than the guys. They really have to show they have more than just fluff in their brains. The guy that was eliminated was my favorite guy. It is so funny seeing a guy being one of the beauties. Can you imagine a man speding an hour getting ready in the morning!

A lot has happened in Reality world since Tuesday night! What are you guys watching. I'm just glad that I have finally gotten over my fear of messing up the TV by using the VCR. I don't know what I would do these past couple of weeks with all the new shows coming on. Now I am just going to have to decide if some of the new ones are worth me giving up the old ones for. I guess what I am refering to is my crime dramas.
Not that I am an expert but I was dissapointed in who went home on DWTS. I thought Wayne Newton needed to go. OK, that'as all I know about that show.
Americas next top model, another new show for me. Tyra Banks has just paired down to her final 13 and this week made her first elimination. It is interesting that someone with Autism is on the show. She is a very socially awkward young woman. It will be interesting to see how she reacts to what models have to wear and how they pose. Those other guys on the show with Tyra are just the hoot!
Survivor. Ashley as a porfessional wrestler is used to being the star and will accept nothing less. I think that's why she was voted out. If the team doesn't win next week, the next big "boss-Dave" will leave. There were sure a lot of blurred out nude shots in this episode during the mud fight.

Where are all of the reality show addicts? Are you all at some RSAA (Reality Show Addicts Anonymous) meeting? I refuse to admit help! I stand on my premise that if I can't live my life the way I want to, I will always watch a reality show that puts me there!
OK, I'm over that!!!!!!! Last night I watched DWTS. As usual, even though Wayne Newton is a legend, he is not a dancer. Also Jayne Seymour may be one classy lady but she isn't a latin dancer. Her mother died yesterday and she still danced but was gone tonight.
I'm still staying with Beauty and the Geek, my first season! I really like that show. Unless the beauties are really putting on a show for thier future careers and money, they really care about being more sensitive to the less than beautiful. And the guys are enjoying themselves, especially the guy beauty. Of course he is really out of his element on the program. He has no interests in what the guys are doing and hopefully all the girls are trying to better themselves. So he does what he knows best, flirt and get someone under the covers with him. But is so disheartening to see one of the couples go becasue they seem so sincere. Maybe I see this show with rose colored glassses because I had never whatched it before.
TBL. Wow, the red team won complete team immunity and they sure needed it. i think they only lost like 9 or 10 pounds as a whole. The black team lost 50, they have never loot a weigh in. So the blue team had to send another member home. But the members they have sent home are really doing well. So Bon should be proud of himself.
I don't believe it!!!! Here I was, all settled in to watch the results show of DWTS.......and I fell asleep. :( So HELP! I didn't see who was sent home!! Wayne Newton? He's definitely the worst dancer. Please, please tell me.....I've been wondering all day!!!!

Albert and Anna were voted off. I think he was the male model hunk that liked to show as mush of his chest that he could. And it was worth it. He was robbed, Wayne Newton should of gone.
And speaking of chests, I'n not so sure about James on Survivor. He showed a weak side tonight. He and Jean-Robert were just hanging out in their little man made lake discussing all the teammates. They were really cutting down Courtney and saying she needed to be the next to go, then Leslie. I know that that kind of thing happens every season but he was my James, just perfect. I think I read it in a TV Guide interview of Jeff Probst that James' mouth will get him in trouble later on in the game.
Poor Courtney, I don't know how long she can last in that environment. She has almost no body fat. I'm surprised they didn't vote her out, she was a major reason why they lost their challenge. I think they voted out Leslie because she was the one 'kidnapped' to the other team after the reward challenge and she bonded with some of fellow Christinas and that worried her team mates that she would have some immediate alliances when they merged.
I weatched Americas Next top model, ANTM, last night. Again this is another first season for me. I still can't remember a lot of the contestants name unless they are just a 'in your face attitude' or stick out for some other reason. The judges really like Heather. She has that illness that I can't rememebr the name or even spell. It's a form of Autism.
Thank you Doydie!!! Wow! That really was a surprise -- Albert and Anna. I agree, he might not be a wonderful dancer but Wayne Newton is alot worse. Guess it has to do with their fan base and "Mr. Las Vegas" has a big one.
I forgot about ANTM. Saw it once this season and I can't remember the name of the disease Heather has either. It's always amazing to me how much different all the girls look in full make-up, hair, etc. Usually they just look like anybody you'd see on the street.
Thanks again for bringing me up-to-date! Does anybody watch "Meercat Manor" Friday night on Animal Planet? They're the cutest little things, but I can never watch when one of them gets killed. It's so neat the way they have their family order, "The Whiskers", do their housekeeping, foraging for food, babysitting, etc. Only gross thing is they eat scorpions, millipedes, all those yucky things.
Do we have too much time on our hands?? :)

Well guys, it's been awhile again. Seems like we go several days between reporting on our favorite reality shows. I felt so sorry for Wayne Newton last night. I know he wants to show he can keep up but he just couldn't do it. I was glad they finally voted him off. I was afraid that most of the votes for him were actually for his professional paprtner and not him. I think our little Boxer Floyd has a temper problem!
I'm still swatching Beauty and the Geek. Unfortunatley it is on with a couple of other shows I watch. So I watch NCIS on line the next day, watch the first 30 minutes of Beauty and the Geek, then turn it over to The Biggest looser and at the last moment switch it back to BATG to see who was voted off. And during this I am recording Bones. Then the next hour, I record House, finish TBL and watch results from DWTS during commercials making sure I switch it over to see who is voted off. Luckily the next hour Law and Order SVU has my undivided attention. So the geek that has gotten a little power crazy goes home. And the love interest for the male beauty leaves. So now the female geek can have her room back at night and poor ol' Sam needs to find some one else 'cause that's the only way he can play in that house.
TBL. I think it was Jim who left, it was one of the twins. He kind of lost his temper last week. I don't know if that had anything to do with the vote or not. But like all of the other eliminated contestans, he did very well at home. It was nice to see how you can have a hard work out at a resort. ON the TBL message board some are speculating that Kim had her team have a lot of water weight gain last week and that is why they had such high numbers this week. Last week they had a complete team immunity for the winners of the reward challenge.
Americas next top model. I think they messed up this week. They showed the same episode that they showed last week. Or maybe I just had a MS moment!
Oh, how could I forget! Trading spaces is back with some new designers and carpenters. They have one carpenter that was a former male model and likes his abs without his shirt on. I don't know if they are trying to create a new Ty Pennington or not but I think God threw away the model when he made Ty.
OK, what's happening with your shows?

It's been quiet here this week. I think I have even forgot who was voted out on the biggest loser! I do remember that the boxer guy Floyd was eliminated on DWTS. Wow, did anyone watch Survivor tonight? What a twist. Poor Aaron, didn't even see it coming. I guess since even he voted for James that he figured James would be the one going home. James might have cooked his goose when he said that it didgusted him enough that he idn't want any part of it anymore. I would assume that James knows that the rest of the team might try to throw next weeks immunities challenge to get him off. But he has to realize that he is the most physical threat there is and he would be on the chopping block as soon as they merge. But unless it is a mental challenge, he has a good chance to win any physical challenge for individual immunity. I'm not saying he couldn't win a mental challenge but most of the others have an equal chance at that.

I've got a really bad headache tonight but I'll try to remember all my thoughts on my reality shows for the past week.
Monday - Beauty and the Geek. I'm getting a little tired of the show. I think it may be geared for people a little less than my 57 years but I'll stay with it. It was really funny watching those geeks try to read a pattern and sew. I felt sorry for the guy that was such a comic book geek, he's the one with the ears that need to be pegged. He was so into going to the comic book convention and his beauty could have cared less and she created a terrible super hero for herself which he had to make an outfit for. Sam, the 'beauty' which is also an actor is kind of getting into the hang of the show.
Dancing with the Stars - So sorry to see Marie Osmond faint dead away. We are so used to seeing taped shows it is strange to see an actual live show and see a medical emergency. I was glad that Mark Cuban or whatever his name is get eliminated. I am afraid that my own favorite, Jane Seymour may be leaving soon. I don't really expect her to win it but I just enjoy watching her dance. Maybe they would let her be on the show and perform after she is eliminated!
Tuesday - Biggest Loser. I really don't remember who left. Oh, now I do. The guy that gained 17 pounds was left on and a serious competitor was eliminated. But the twist now is that members of the other teams do the voting now. So of course they would leave someone that deliberately gained weight.
Wednesday - America next top model. Ebony, she was so determined at the first and just kind of got homesick. Tyra was going to send someone else home but Ebony spoke up and said she wanted to go home. So the other girl got a free pass.
Thursday - Survivor. This is my favorite!!!!!!!! I think the right person went home tonight but there could have been several 'right' people. Sherea was lazy around camp and a little to outspoken. But they are really tearing her in the message board. I think this my be what has gotten my blood pressure up (my headache). I don't agree with her actions regarding her work ethic (I'll be lazy around camp so I can be strong in challenges) or her attire but they are saying this is all because she is black. And boy are they dissing her. I am not black but I won't stand for someone being treated like that. If she was lazy, it was becasue she was who she was, not because she was black. But James is going to sleep tonight with a huge smile on his face. The other team kidnapped him, gave him the hidden immunity idol so that he could throw the challenge and use it on himself and vote off Jaime. But his team won anyway and he didn't need it! So he has one of the HII!!! Next week is the merge.
Amazing Race starts Nov 4th. The teams are listed on the website but that's all.

I agree with you Doydie. I watch Survivor and it is not the color you are but who you are and what you do. If more people felt like this it would be a better world. I still would not want to have been in that position to eat the food that they had to. I was actually gagging myself watching it. I have watched this show since it first started and it is great. Can't wait to start watching The Amazing Race that is another great show. Have a good day. Hope your headache is better. Joyce

I did pretty well this week. I watched DWTS and Survivor..:)
I was so shocked when Marie fainted....she is so hyper. . She is one of my favorite dancers (for her age) and Jayne is my #1 favorite too. I just love her.
I don't quite have a handle on everyone on Survivor, but I do like the show and the challenges and stuff. I couldn't watch the weird food eating thing....BARF!!!!
I can't keep up with you, Doydie, that's for sure.:D

I am not watching DWTS this season. I had family issues when it started and just didn't know most of them. Except for Jane and Marie. I hope Marie wins. I love her enthusiasm. Bummer about the fainting, but if she's doing Nutrasystems to lose weight and burning all those calories practicing, I can see how she could faint.
I love Survivor and would have like to see JR voted off. At least, Sherea was good in the challenges. The contrast in work ethic between James and Sherea is proof that it is not a race issue. IMHO
I cannot wait for Amazing Race on 11/4. Project Runway starts 11/14, I believe. Two shows that I can enjoy start to finish.

Oh no, Project Runway! My husband will kill me if I start another show. Well maybe one of the other ones will almost be over. and my headache is much better. I think it just really made me so mad what they were saying about some of the racial things but yet nothing is said about James also being black. It's like they bring it up if something is wrong with the person but not if they are great. Just doens't work for me. I got lots of threads addressed to me from the website, read them all but let it slide.

Well heres my reality shwos for the last week
ANTM was a recap of the season so far
B&G recap of the season so far
DWTS guess that was the shocker for the week. America favorite voted off. Sabrina, I think she is part of the Cheeta Girls music group, lots of dance experience but not ballroom. Some people on the message board say they had problems with their phone in vote. Some say the show was preempted by a ball game and didn't know the numbers. Others say she showed so much potential in the first weeks that she didn't show enough improvememnt. Others say her fans thought they didn't have anything to worry about and just didn't vote. I don't know, I have never voted. I just like watching the show. And I especially enjoy watcing Jayne Semour. She had food poisening and wasn't there for the results show.
Survivor, my favorite Jamie got the boot. What goes around comes around. I hope she remembers that for a long time and teaches her children that. 2 weeks ago she intentionally threw a challenge so her team could lose and go to TC. Last night she found what she thought was the HHI. Reason why she thought it was that was because she took James' bag and went through it and found his. So she so proudly shows it during TC and Jeff threw it in the fire, just like she threw the playing piece on the ground when she threw the challenge. Then she was voted off. She is the first member of the jury which means we will have a final 3 again.
There is another reality show on Fox something about a search for the next great American band.

I completely forgot about The biggest loser!!!!1 How could I do that when that guy, can't remember his name, purposely did a water gain of 17 pounds last week!!!!! Anyway, he lsot 33 pounds this week. Wonder how he did that! If they still had the same voting system, his team mates would have got him out real quick. But now the other teams votes off for your team. So of course they leave him on cause they know he's no threat. So they voted the cowboy home. But just like all the others, he continued to lose weight at home. Good job cowboy! This coming week the show joins many of the other shows by going green, recycle and excersize using no electricity.

amazing race started tonight. I had to wait an extra half hour cause the NFL game lasted to long. And my Colts lost. They went to Ireland. That is one of the places on my list that I want to see. Well any of Europe is. There are some pretty interesting people on this year. Of course I like the ones that are on to deepen their relationships like the father and daughter and the Grandpa and grandson. Felt so sorry for the last two teams. You can be way ahead in the race and then you get stuck with a mule that will not budge and it puts you in last place. I loved the challenge where they rode the bike over the gorge with their teammate hanging on at the bottom of the bike.

I too, so enjoyed the first episode of AR. I'm not Irish, but that is definitely on my wish list. Seems like an interesting bunch this year.
My Dad had to leave the room. He said all he could hear was people yelling at each other (maybe because the tv is so loud so he can hear it). I told him to do what I do, just enjoy the scenery.
I don't like the cali girls and the sisters. I think it is degrading to use your body to win money. I like the heartfelt stories best.

I missed AR last night. My poor little 4 month puppie was not feeling well. My daughter said that she probably was teething and that makes them hurt and also upsets their stomach. Today she is very quiet and won't eat. I am just going to wait for a little while and then call the Vet. Nothing can happen to her. I don't think I could take another loss. Wish her good health.

:Wave-Hello:Hi Joyce
I'm so sorry to hear your little puppy is feeling so crummy. Hope it is just teething related. Puppies have a tendency to eat what shouldn't be eaten. Hoping a trip to the vet is not needed. I hope you little pup is feeling better soon.

My daughter agrees with you BETH about the teething. I think you both where right. Today she is eating and playing like herself. I was just the old worried mother. Forgot what it is like to have a baby in the house. It has been about 20 years since I had a puppy. Well I have to learn all over again. But there is that problem of memory forgot what I learned. When my daughter tells me something on what to do, well the screwed up brain doesn't compute. I am also not sure if I made a mistake by getting the dog. I was so lonely I figured it would help. Not keeping in mind that this sick body does not have the strength and capability that it had at one time. My daughter is helping a lot. Well got to try my best because I fell in love with the little ball of fur.:inlove:

:Wave-Hello: Hi Doydie: Her name is Sage and she is a German Sherpard. My daughter has two and one of them is the half brother. They have the same father. She is from Kentucky. A friend of my son has a great big farm that is strickly for breeding Shepards and traing them for show, a pet, police, and the government. They are exceptional dogs. They have 100 % German bloodlines. The line started in Germany and all the dogs have the German line. There is no American Shepard Bloodline. I never new that there is two lines. To me a shepard is a shepard. But when you are in the breeding business just like anything else you have to know your facts. I am sure we will make out just great. She is lying right beside me as I am writing to you.
YEA!!!!! AR is back!!! Have to get used to the new teams. Actually I didn't feel too bad for the last two teams. If they had been a little more gentle with their donkeys, they would have responded better. And the ones who were eliminated stole another couple's taxi -- what goes around??? I really enjoy the scenery too!
Joyce -- I'm so sorry your little puppy had a problem, but glad he/she's okay now!! Years ago when I was married (before kids) we had two German Shepherds from the "von Freesland" line. Sure didn't have to worry about intruders with them around -- Christa and Dolph. They're sooo cute as puppies!!! Good luck! I wouldn't have the energy to keep up with one of them now!!
Talk to you all later...........:)
Jappy
11-07-2007, 09:10 PM
Judy that is what has me a little worried the energy that she has. My daughter is helping me. She is a Dog Trainer and Groomer. When SAGE that is her name gets older I know she will be a great dog and my protector. That is the main reason I wanted the shepard. Being alone now. Her mother is from the Vom Drachefeld line. Her father was born in Germany and is on loan here to breed. His name is Va1(DK) K ARATS ULKO. and a lot of numbers. I will make it with my daughter and Gods help.
Hey there Joyce!
WOW!! I'm wondering what they call Sage's father in "everyday" language??? Also was wondering if he learned the obedience commands in German? Was watching something on Animal Planet about a competition between police departments who have K-9 units and some of those dogs respond to German commands. Amazing to watch!
I'm sure you'll do just fine with such professional help in your daughter close by. There's nobody near me so that's why I won't get another. Even if I did, I'd like to adopt an adult/senior since they usually get passed by. I sure miss the presence of Susan's sweet little soul!!
Here's to many years of happiness and companionship for you and Sage!
Hugs...........:)

Hi Judy, never thought of the father of Sage understanding German. You would not believe the house that he lived in. It was what I would call DOG MANSION . They had two fences built around it for protection, so that nothing would happen to him or also to someone else. Because if you are interested in buying a puppy and wanted to see the parents they would take you to see him. Well I see it is 7:45 pm Survivor is coming on soon so I am going to get myself ready for the night and enjoy the show. Do you watch Survivor?

Wonder what is going to happen next week on Survivor. Jeff said that Tribal council wasn't over and they had some other bussiness to do. Over on the message board someone thought it might be a second vote. That way the contestants can't strategize. Some one also thought that they saw who was wearing the immunity necklace in the preview. I'll have to go back and watch that.
So sorry to see Jayne Seymour leave. I agree that she was the weakest one left but I still enjoyed her grace.

Hi Sally
I was kinda rooting for James, because I thought a grave digger could use a million bucks. PG is really annoying, but very persistant. My Dad commented that Amanda is now almost as thin as anorexic Courtney. Todd had got to go too.
I agree the Asian father/daughter team is growing on me. It's really going to get tough now. The cali blonds have got to go!

OK guys, call of the search dogs. I've just been tired with Thanksgiving, Christmas shopping, sinus infection and everything. It's really to bad that a person can get to tired doing all you have to do for Christmas to really be able to enjoy Christmas. So heres my take on all the shows. i hope I can remember all of them. I'll try to go from Sunday on
Amazing Race. So far I have several favorite teams, brother and sister, father and daughter, grandpa and grandson, goths. Their team strategies seem to work well. The father and daughter are getting along a lot better. There is no official AR message board but if anyone is interested, someone has started one on Survivor message board. It's under general messages and is just Amazing race. There is this person there, I think name is something like JhenJhen or something like that. She is Asian and has a lot of insight as to why the father acts like he does. It's all very cultural. I like the U-turn instead of the yield.
Dancing with the stars. I think the best man won. Marie Osmonds original dance was real strange Monday night. It was almost as if she didn't want to win and took it out of the voters hands. There has been so much speculation about Hulio and Julianne and their relationship. He has broken up with his fiance' and she broke up with her boyfriend. But they say it is just platonic. It's amazing that she is only 19.
The biggest loser. I felt so sorry for 'B' being voted off. He was the last of the red team. I guess Kim won't show up on the show Tuesday night. It is still scary to see how much weight they have lost. Next weeks TV Guide says they have to work in a pizza place next week.
Beauty and the Geek. it ends this week. I only watch it during commercials of other shows. Last week they went to their partners homes to see a glimpse of their personal lives. It really gave them a lot of insight. I don't think that would of worked for them if they had done that earlier in the show. I think these contestants generally care for each other now.
Americas Next top model. My favorite was eliminated last week. She had a form of (sp?) Aspergers and she had to overcome a lot of social problems to go as far as she did. they are also in China
Project runway. Yes, my list is growing. But with the writers strike who knows what I'll be watching. I like listening to Heidi Klum. I like the way she says 'one will be the winner and one will be out'. I like her accent on 'out'. Yeah, I'm a little crazy. I need to get a life. This last week they had to design a mens suit. That was a first. Most of the designer contestants are gay. One of them said he never could understand why anyone would get excited when the female models would practically have to strip down naked to get dressed. But now that he saw all the male models do that, he could understand.
Survivor. Now the national time of mourning begins. james is out. He left with both of the immunity idols, which had practically been given to him, in his hands. He was a threat at first but not with the individual immunities. He didn't know how to apply a light touch to anything. PG is beginning to shine a little more. Denise got a lot of air time, finally. She is nice. She might be one that just squeaks in under the radar and wins the whole thing.
Oh, I almost forgot Trading spaces. They have a new cast and format. There is to many jokes, sexual innuendos and playing around. there is always a contest, like go cart racing between the two carpenters. And the carpenters are really very coccky. Paige Davis is coming back. I will wait and see what she brings back to the format before I totally pass judgement on the show.
Did I miss anything? There are some shows that I don't watch but feel free to bring them to the table here for us all to indulge in.

Hey Doydie
Good to hear from ya. Sorry your feeling so crummy. :( It's terrible that getting through the holidays sucks the life right out of us. Hope you are feeling better today.
I spent Saturday 9:30am-5:30pm, shopping and snacking with my bestest friend. My body is hurting so much, feet and back and my brain has been in bed for several hours. On the bright side, I have most of my shopping done and did not charge anything, cash only. That is such a huge step for me, I'd pat myself on the back if I weren't dog tired.
I too love PR and appreciate the talents it takes to be a designer. I don't have a fav yet, but the season is young.

I spent most of my day today at our stadium here in town. My son in law is in the Indiana National Guard and they are getting ready to go for their second tour in Iraq. So today was our cities big send off for them. Although it was for a very worthy cause, i spent almost 4 hours sitting in very uncomfortable stadium seating listening to all the beaurocrats giving their speeches. The one I hated the most was the guy who told all about one his times in which he had gone into the PX with two of his buddies and the place was blown up and his buddie was killed. Did we need to hear that!!!!!!!!!! Most of the group had already gone through one tour and all had gotten back safely but there was about one third of the group that was new. I really felt sorry for them and their families. Plus that four hours that all we could do was to look at the back of our soldiers head, we could have been enjoying their compnay for a little more time before they left. Their offical time to leave is Jan 2. OK, I'll get off my soap box now. Oh, my son in law was one fo the three that went before that got injured and got a Purple heart. Do you think the army could et it to him after 18 months? No!!!!

One of my shows ended tonight. Actually it was the one I was watching during commercials only. Of the two couples remaining on Beauty and the Geek, my favorite won. Can't remember their names but I thought that they grew the most. It was interesting when the host was interviewing all the couples tonight. Some of the guys are dating, one of the girls is going to college and another going for her Realtors licence. One of the guys even did his own makeover and looked good. I know the winning money was $250,000 but they had to split it!!!!! That's why I would only want my husband to go on Wheel of Fortune with me. I wouldn't want to split my winnings with anyone.!
Amazing Race. Karma comes back to hit you in the face. After they used the U-turn, the blondes got eliminated. But that is all part of the game and perfectly allowable. I'm liking Ron and Christina better every week.
Biggest Loser. It's sad every week to see another contestant go home. Nicole did an amzing job at the campus and continued it at home. She will be quite a force to be recond with for the eliminated players prize. of course they all done very well. But she really looked hot
Uh Oh... tried to delete this post....didnt work...:p

Let's get this thread revived for the week. I'll try to remember what shows are on what night.
Sunday. Amazing Race. Just goes to show you what happens if you don't check to make sure the ticket agent gives you what seat you actually asked for. My favorite team was eliminated cause they got business class instead of tourist. So now I''ll be rooting for Ron and Christina.
Tuesday. The Biggest loser. I felt so bad for Neil. He lost 10 pounds and it wasn't enough to keep him in the game. He was the last team member of the blue team and the black team voted him off. The black team was the one left over after the trainers took their pick and they were left standing in the desert and thinking they were going home. Jillian must be a good trainer. I don't know how one person can lose 143 pounds in 3 1/2 months. So next Tuesday is the final.
Wednesday. Americas next top model. Final episdoe. I'm glad Serissha (sp?) won. I thought Chantel had a verey cocky attitude about her ability to win it all.
New show - Crowned: the mother of all pageants. Take mother and daughter teams from around the country, glam them up and pit them against each other. The only thing that is worst than a womans vanity is a Mom's vanity for herself or her daughter. The really beautiful women really got a lesson when the judges gave high remarks to the not so glamorous teams for their sincerity
Project Runway. Episode this weeek, don't use the size 0 models. Use women who have lost a lot of weight and remake their clothes into something that they will want to wear and flatter their new figure. One poor guy (the losing contestant) had to use a huge wedding dress and make into an outfit. One of the guys got some kind of infection on his face and had to leave so they brought back the guy they eliminate last week.
Thursday SURVIVOR!!!!!!!! Down to the final four. Poor PG. Another show that had only one team mate left and got voted off. I thought Amanda was going to vote Todd off and let PG stay in but team colors won out. Denise sure made an enemy out of PG though. She has won the last two reward challenges and got some pretty nice rewards that she would share with 2 other teammates and she didn't pick PG even though PG picked her for one. So if Denise gets to the final 3, PG sure won't vote for her. I'm sure Amanda and Todd are smart enough though to take Courtney to the final three because they think Courney won't get any votes from the jury.
Whew!!!! Did I get them all? I know there are quite a few more reality shows out there but I don't watch. Tell me what's going on. I know that Survivor, Biggest loser and Amazing race are almost over and there are new shows going up.

Wow, Todd won. i wasn't expecting that I thought that of the final three that were left that Amanda would win. But he knew exactly how to play the jury. And Amanda only got one vote. i just wish PG had been in the final 3.
At first I was very pleased what the show did for Denise in giving her $50,000 thinking that she had lsot her job. But the official website for the school corporation issued a statement today that last year she had applied for and had been acceped a position on janitor and an increase in pay. So she was not demoted.
And I am very glad that James got the Sprint fan favorite $100,000.

Did anyone watch the Biggest Loser last night? It was pretty good. Those people did amazing. I won't mention who won in case someone taped it and hasn't watched it yet... They are already taping the next season.

I don't know how it can be that healthy to lose that much weight in 6 months. It's now been 4 days so I'll say who won. Of the eliminated players, Jim won the weigh in by losing 186 pounds. That was over 50% of his body weight! His twin brother who was a finalist won the contest by losing I think 178 pounds. I may be wrong on how many. It was about 49 % of his body weight. I thought it was funny that the guy who intentionally gained weight that one week and gained 17 pounds, lost the eliminated players weigh in by 5 pounds. He would have had to lose 216 pounds and he lost 211 pounds. Maybe if he hadn't have intentionally gained weight he would have won that $100,000.

It would be great to make a show about 6months to a year after to really see how they look. I thought losing that much weight in a short time is unhealthy. But I guess with that amount of money involved it gives them the determination to work hard to lose the weight. That's why it would be interesting to see them later.

:) Hi Doydie and Joyce,
I'm so glad you posted as my wife and I are real Biggest Loosers fans. With the "way" they are loosing weight the odds of it coming back and having adverse effects from the weightloss is next to nill. They are also constantly monitored by a professional medical staff.
Remember a season or two ago a guy and girl who were both on the show and lost big came back after a year off the show, looked great, and even ended up getting married. How awesome is that? ;)
We are not much into the other "reality shows" as we were spoiled after watching the original "Survivor" show. The rest just didn't have the excitement and charm of the first show.
Hey Craig!! That was Suzie and Matt and I saw a pic of them in a magazine and they still had the wt off and were still together. Don't they all look SO different when they've lost so much wt?? They are taping the new season already... woohoo~~
This is for you Craig~~:santa: :santa: :santa: :santa: :santa: :santa: :santa:

I'm looking forward to the new BL, it starts Jan 2nd or so. It will be couples. Not sure how they will be teamed up or what. I sure enjoy the show. Maybe with all that attention I could lose the weight I need too.

Hey Craig: I didn't realize that they kept up with the trainers. In that case you would keep it off. Who pays for the trainers after the initialshow?
Well I wish them luck they all deserve it no matter who won the money.
This show I am sure has helped a lot of people (like me) The only thing I start out doing great and then the big plunge. :thud:

Well, I waaaaass going to watch it. My son in law who leaves tomorrow morning for Iraq called this evening and wanted to spend the evening with us. Who can say no to that! So I set my DVR to record everything on NBC from Wheel of fortune on through Law and Order. My husband goes back to work tomorrow from his Christmas Vacation so I'll have plenty of time to watch it.
The Biggest Loser is ON... woohoo! First night was great.

I didn't get a chance to watch the new Biggest Looser "Couples" episode last night. Had to go to be early as I was exhausted.
My wife got all excited yesterday because BRAVO was showing, nonstop, her favorite Biggest Looser episode with Matt and, crap I can't remember her name but she is blonde and they got together after the show was over. We also had another channel replaying Biggest Looser total seasons over the holiday.
My wife got the new Biggest Looser book for Christmas and is loving it. She plans on combining the info in the book with her personal workouts and Weight Watchers. Maybe she will see some significant improvements. Although, I love her no matter what she looks like.

Watched the Biggest Loser's Couples last night. I think this one is going to be a very interesting one.
Can't remember the name of the husband and wife team but it was the husband that landed up in the hospital. He seems to be one big "Wooss" as we would say at my house (SYMPATHY BABY)

CURIOUS you have competition. :ROTFLMAO::ROTFLMAO:
AWWW Craig~~ You and your wife sound so sweet! And, working out combined w/WW's is an excellent way to lose wt and get in shape. Kudos' to your wife.
Oh and Matt's girlfriend who he ended up marrying was Suzie. At least I thought they got married, but they're still together anyway.
Hi Joyce~~~The guy that went to the hosp last night was on the "strangers" team. He and his partner came into this not knowing each other.
Isn't Allison Sweeney cute. She's on my Soap~~~ Days of Our Lives....

I've watched DOOL since I was in school. Yup, you are right... Hope is a Granny now. Cracks me up how they never age and wear full make up to bed. I know, I know.... it's television. Oh and GI John is coming back. Made MY DAY!!! woohoo!
Caroline Rhea hosted The Biggest Loser B4 and I could hardly take her, so am glad to see Alli hosting.
As sands thru the hourglass,
So, are the Days of Our Lives.
Back to our regular scheduled thread.....;)

I agree Alison is a much better host then Caroline. I watched the couples BL and think it will be very very interesting too. The first team off was from 'round here. They've gotten more then their 15 minutes of fame thanks to the local NBC station. So far she has lost 35 lb and he has lost 70 lbs.

Wow, I'm proud of him. He didn't have much of a 'Biggest loser' attitude on the show. I'm glad that he listened to that wake up call. The previews for next week show some drama from the couple with the little baby. I bet it is very hard for both mom and Dad to be away from him.
I agree Doydie~ How hard that must have been to leave that lil one. But, guess their desire to be healthy and be around for that little one was strong enough. Haven't picked a fave couple yet; I like to wait a couple of wks to see their true colors. Hey, I made a funny! Their true colors!!!
haha and they are color coded!!! It's too early for me to try and be witty.

Celebrity Apprentice started tonight. Interesting, can't spell her name, she wanted the challenge to be all business and not play on their celebrity status. She soon found out that was how to get the money. And Gene Simmons won the challenge because of it. i can't imaging someone paying $5,000.00 for a hot dog. But I guess Trump was sort of counting on the Play Mate to call her boss for a $10,000.00 hot dog. anyway, the paly mate was the first to hear the infamous words 'you're fired'. I will miss the interactions in the mansion. And the winning team was able to watch the boardroom on closed circiut TV!
