I've noticed in recent months I've had small blips of unreality, like I'll wake up in a panic thinking I haven't prepared for the day thinking it was Thursday, when really it is only Monday, or I'll be driving and suddenly have no idea which street to take. It is a total loss of knowledge, but just a mere second-long blip.

Very disconcerting, and I hope, only temporary :(

Ugh, I am so sorry anyone has to deal with this. I do, too. I constantly 'lose track of time' or 'misplace myself' while driving. It's one of the reasons I was not too bitter when they took away my license. I shouldn't have it.

I'd bring this up with your doctor, however, to make sure it isn't caused from absent or focal seizures -or- it isn't from your medication. Could also be stress..Heck, it could be anything or nothing!

Don't let it get you down, I'm around if you need to talk or vent. Well, I will be after I clean the toilets :(

Ick!

Thanks guys. Stress does make things worse, and it is a catch-22 sometimes worrying about the blips ;) i have to say on the whole my szs have been great, so maybe it is a quid pro quo situation.

Big Sis, don't mind at all getting advice from a 13yo - it is not the number that counts but the wisdom in the words :)

Hey Lexie-

I know what you mean. This happens to me, sometimes more often than I wish. I am hoping that it is not CPs, just my SPs going a little haywire. I am aware of things but feel a bit disconnected and removed from the situation sometimes. I have woken up, totally in a panic that I lost a day, did not know what day it was. Was unsure when driving home. And more often than not lately, I am in the house and start off to do something and become totally confused as to what I wanted to do. I have to stop, think really hard and it usually comes back to me.

I am hoping that it is stress too. :D If not, I would like to stay in my state of denial!

But I do think it is stress...my mind feels like it is running 1000 miles an hour, thinking of all of the things I have to do...so I lose track of what I am doing now.

I wonder if it is made worse by the AEDs?

Hope you are feeling better.

Stacy
