I can't remember it all...for starters, I did not collect frogs until so many of my friends started sending me them...I still don't collect them but hate throwing them out! :o

I did worry about triggering people until I read that you can disable them here....Addy...*grin...that other kicking frog was such a bigger atavar...and Lara, Pter said it made him feel good to see him...Yes, LOL...I remember the horses ***...LOLOL!

:D I think the word is avatar! :D I'm off again...leaving early in the morning to visit my younger sister in Wisc.

It's hot here so the idea of going north makes me grin. We are going to 10 Chimneys and maybe to The House on the Rock...also a Garden Tour if it doesn't rain us out.

Both the air conditioning and the sprinkler have run non- stop.

Doody, I am sending your dear Mom positive thoughts.

Curious I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers. Please let us know when you "land".

Hugs for the room. :grouphug:

sounds like fun. Its hot here too.... Rebecca and I just cleaned out the van inside and out....i think we brough half the beach home with us from Florida
At least our van washing turned into a water fight... i know we looked silly, but it felt oh so good!!!!!!! :thud:

LOL...Cooper has been playing in the sprinkler most of the day. I wonder if this heat will end up a huge storm. Glad you got the van cleaned out Vicky and had fun doing it! :D

((((Alffe)))) I wonder what you have up your sleeve for my visit, because I know you will have something. Now, don't go thinkin you have to entertain me every second of the day

I'm jealous you're going north. It is SO FRIGGIN HOT here! Oh...how hot is it? My air conditioner has NOT stopped running ALL day long and no, I don't have the fan on it set to on! I checked to be sure. This is the first day that's happened.

A family, friends of my kids, decided to go to Adventureland Park today with their 2 little girls, and I thought...are those guys out of their minds!!!???

And it's only early in July. Holy cow.

Thanks for remembering mom. I don't think I relayed how her consult doctor visit went. I really like the ENT that is doing her surgery. He is the one that diagnosed my TMJ after years and years of being wrongly diagnosed with ear infections.

He told us that the good news is that the biopsy showed the melanoma isn't growing down, which is good. He said that otherwise this would be more urgent and he would have operated on her by now. She calls him on the 13th to get details about her surgery which is going to be on the 16th.

He said because of her age (80) he would prefer to do it with local anesthesia, but wants to do it at the hospital in outpatient surgery so that they can immediately check to see if he got all of the tissue he needs to get. Once they find out that the 'perimeter' of the area is clean, he'll do some plastic surgery and patch her back up

I was relieved after the consult.

Have fun in Wisconsin.

Hi all,

Doody, thanks for the update on you mom.

Alffe, isn't that something how you got so many frogs?

Goofy, getting wet outside sounds like a bunch of fun.

I've got to sit in something soft as my legs are killing me on this hard chair. Hope to be back later.

You obviously tossed it without careful reading. LOLOL...But I forgive you.

Now please send me curious...that monkey only!!

Wow, that was so interesting. Thanks so much for posting the link, Doody. That's some history and what an amazing story. I'd be happy in the Chicken Coop. lol ;) I'd love to see that place. I love all that detail!

Hope you had a wonderful time, Alffe.

I was watching CBS this morning and saw an interview with Robt.Redford who is 70, gasp! but that reminded me that there is a new Sundance theatre in Madison and we went to see the movie "Waitress" and I loved it. Mr.Alffe wouldn't like it for several reasons I think...he'd probably say it's a chickflick and he definitely would not approve of their "behavior".

I also had forgotten how much I enjoy reading the onion..it's free and used to be located in Madison but got too big for their britches and moved to NY I think. http://onion.com

Hang on to your sense of humor!

Glad you enjoyed your movie, Alffe.

Speaking of movies... has anyone seen "Evening" at all? It looks like something I might like to see so just curious. I also wondered if anyone has seen "Proof". Gosh, that was such a powerful movie to me. I don't go to the movies very much anymore. I used to enjoy it years ago. Now I wait to get the DVD and be comfy at home.

I've not seen either of those movies Lara. Like you, we usually wait and rent them....always looking for recommendations so, thank you.

did you read "the onion"? LOL

Lara

Proof is a little harrowing but I thought it was very well made, but then I'm a huge Anthony Hopkins fan. I'm not particularly fond of Gwyneth Palthrow, but she was good in this. It left me with this strange feeling inside. Hard to describe here really. It was as if I was left with more despair regarding genius and madness and all that is in-between and how tragic life can be for so many people who are so darn special and clever yet they struggle so much in life. Sorta hit home.

Thanks for link to The Onion. I've seen that before I think. I'll check it out again though I may not understand it lol
