Ive been on Neurontin and now Lyrica the wonder drug to Australia but only put on weight and hasnt settled chronic regional pain syndrome been on for twelve months, I asked my dr if it caused weight increase NO ????????? and occasionally I forget to take my Lyrica it reminds me by giving me the stomach shakes and shivers almost like giving up drugs I believe not knowing about this I wondered if other people with this problem dealt with this> I am also on paroxetine for my problems with depression because of the vicious cycle of pain and indocid and panadeine forte and oxynormin and others dealing with the many problems I seem to be having. I am presently reducing my meds and only taking pain and anti inflammatory drugs and reducing lyrica and paroxetine because I dont think that they are working at all = more trouble than worth I feel spacy. Please let me know if anyone has experienced problems with mostly lyrica and paroxetine.

I have fibromyalgia, RSD and meralgia paresthetica. I have taken over 45 meds with no pain relief. This is my 3rd try on lyrica. (now at 400 mg.). I agree - terrible weight gain. Since I am disabled I cannot walk - just a very short distance to the car. Thus - can't exercise - not biking or swimming either. I just lost 30 pounds and since being on lyrica gained at least 15 back. Very frustrating. My back pain seems a bit better but I cannot be sure as my back pain goes into a mild remission at times. It may be a coincidence because I now have terrible knee, ankle and face pain. Also have neuropathic mouth pain. Shouldn't lyrica being helping that also?
Very confusing. I may go off it and see what happens as I hate the weight gain again. Still in pain everywhere else so is it worth it.
Best wihses to you,

I just had to have my lyrica decreased because of disorenting effects of the drug.. but it seems to help with a fair bit of the pain though noticed when I lowered the dose.
