View Full Version : Urgent Prayer Request For Kd
07-22-2007, 04:51 PM
I just heard from KD at the hospital
they are keeping daughter in for at least 24 hr observation
KD is going to stay there with her
Doctor is not yet comfortable to take baby..feels it is safer inside....but possible uncertainty suggested, which is obviously making KD very nervous.
Baby's movements have slowed very much and so there is concern
Please pray for the doc to have wisdom and guidance in right decision on whether to take the baby out now or to wait.
Please pray for protection for this precious baby who has been so strong till now, despite all the health issues and meds etc for KD's daughter
Pray all will be ok and that KD's grandbaby will safely be born at the best time and in the best way for baby's health and for that of KD's daughter
pray too for KD to have extra strength and wisdom too, as she will need to keep calm and to comfort her daughter thru this anxiety, and as you can imagine, her own anxiety is sky high.

I'm hoping and praying for all good things for KD and her family.

I'm praying for all of them Cheri...thanks for letting us know.

Hi Cheri! My thoughts and prayers are of KD tonight:hug:
07-22-2007, 06:36 PM
Prayers are coming her way. Please let her know we care. Praying the doctor will make the right decision.
Thanks so much for letting us all know.
I'm hoping that the day goes more smoothly and that they're all doing well. It's good that she's in the hospital now and in the hands of people who know what needs to be done. It's been such a worrying time for mum and daughter and it's shocking really to have gone through so much during pregnancy. It's just been so hard. I was so fortunate during my pregnancies that I can't believe it.
They're certainly in my thoughts.

I'm going to go outside and pray right now.
I totally misunderstood your message when I asked... I am soooo dense sometimes.
I thought she was worried about someone on the forum that she only knew through the forum.
I find it hard to believe I can fail so often to understand.
On my way outside to pray for her now.

Oh boy. I'm on it, Cherie, thanks so much for the update.
Hang onto that Hand, KD, He is  near.

To YOU who give soo much, may far better good things come in return!
Mentally sending you bunches of good vibes and heaps of warm smothery, super aunt kind of hugs?!!!!
I sure hope they work in lots of GOOD ways! - j

*crying tears of appreciation and respect*
I made the hard decision to come home tonight. My boy needed me here. My daughter has her wonderfully doting, caring husband there with her and I'll go back out in the morning.
I don't know what tomorrow will bring...discharge? More hopsital? Delivery? I just don't know. It's so good to feel the comfort from prayer and the warmth from thoughts sent.
The doctor said if she were just one or two weeks further along he would have delivered him tonight. At this point though, he could have severe complications with lungs and might not even be able to eat, and his concerns are there when, though he's not doing great inside, he's maintaining.
His movements are very low and when he moves, he's sluggish. His heart rate is steady but doesn't have the appropriate accelerations and decelerations...it's too even.
They did some 8 point test last week and he got and 8 out of an 8. Today when they did it he got a 6 out of 8...another concerning factor.
Tomorrow, if he's not picked up, the doctor said there will be more decisions to make. I don't know what they might be?
He did get the hiccups twice while there and his movements seemed to be picking up tonight...with almost good accelerations to match. Let's pray our little JJ is making a comeback.
My daughter is petrified, worried, excited that it's getting closer and thrilled that they're finally taking seriously the concerns she's had strong for two weeks.
We're all maintaining here, but this has been such a long, hard struggle. I want our little man safely in this world as soon as possible.
Thank you so much for the prayers and I'll update as I can.
I'll be in contact with Chemar by phone if I'll be away for extended times (24 hours or more), and if I don't respond to PM's in a few hours after being sent (if they're about site issues), please forward them onto a moderator, Chemar or DocJohn.
Many thanks, with much love and respect,

KD - You most certainly have my prayers for your daughter and her little one.
07-23-2007, 07:37 AM
Praying God will protect this little one and his mother...
07-23-2007, 09:50 AM
thanks to everyone for your care for KD
She is back at the hospital and they will know today if the doc feels baby should come out, or if they are going to try to wait a bit longer
Please continue to pray that God's strength would be upholding KD right now cos this has been a looooooooooong and very stressful time of concerns for her family .
Also prayers for her daughter to be able to find calm, which is so hard because of the hyper state that comes with Graves.
Pray for her health to stabilize too, especially the thyroid, and for pain from an old severe back injury.
and of course for the precious lil one inside....that he is just shielded and protected from any harm from the medications or the stress etc and that he will be born at the right time, and the right way, for his safety and that of his mama.
There just cant be too many prayers lifted and good thoughts sent out to our KimmyDawn right now. She is one very strong lady, but she is also a weary and fragile mom and grandma right now.
we luv ya KD :grouphug:

((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((( Everyone here ))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))
Thank you so much for the thoughts and prayers!!!
My daughter is home for now. She's to monitor movements closely, and her OB will continue a close watch through NST's at his office. She may be out there quickly again, but we'll pray our little guy nests safely where he's at for a couple more weeks...IF HE'S SAFE THERE.
According the the doctor, if there's another episode even like this one in a week or two, we'll meet our little JJ sooner than later. However, he's hoping that he'll maintain at least where he's at until then.
I will always keep you all posted on "our little guy".
My girl? God love her. My girl is tired and so so so very strong. I couldn't be prouder of her. She's exhausted, worried, stressed, sick beyond words and continues holding it together for her boy. She's an amazing young woman...especially for a young 19.
I'm tired, but OK. I actually feel a relief for today knowing they both had been closely monitored and had about every test in the book to know they're both maintaining. Today I feel a calm and with it is coming a complete exhaustion...LOL. When we let down that guard that comes with a forced strong front, we crumble a bit, yes? Well, that's where I'm at. All is well for now and I'm going to go to my prayer closet (the tub) to pray, rest, melt a bit and cry...release is what I hope. I'll need that strong front back any time. ;)
Thank you all so much for being here for me...for caring and hearing me. I need that right now. Thank you for the thoughts and prayers. My family, particularly my daughter and her precious one, needs them.
Much love and respect,
07-23-2007, 01:03 PM
Good news...let's pray that it continues.
07-23-2007, 01:32 PM
Rest well grandma, mom, and little guy. :)
Yes. Do rest up. Thanks for the update. Have been wondering in my sleep actually if there's been a baby overnight or you were all back home. I'm pleased to see it's the latter and that you're actually "sounding" much more positive in your message today, KD. Get some rest!!!
07-23-2007, 06:08 PM
(((Kimmy))) I'm glad to hear that everything is looking okay today.

My sisters birthday is August 3rd. So we will pray the little guy waits to show up close to that date. Or even longer.

07-25-2007, 08:39 AM
Thank you so much for the care and prayers from the heart. :)
Things are still concerning. Our little guy's movements are still low. My daughter has another no-stress test tomorrow and we'll see what happens. If he keeps this up and I understood the dr. correctly, he won't allow this much longer. Tomorrow she'll be 35 wks.
So many prayers and concerns. We could have our little guy here anytime and I'll keep you updated as I can, or let Chemar know so that she can if I'm not near a computer.
(((((((( Friends ))))))))))
Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
