julie in on the way to take michael to the dr. his fall may have been a bad one after all. he is dizzy this morning and there was some blood on one ear.

We ended up being sent to the ER. He really knocked himself silly sliding on the wood floor and bonking his head on a carved wooden rocking cow. He has a concussion and a big nasty bruise on his thigh where he landed on the rocker part. I was really scared that he might have a seizure...knock on wood, no seizure. The bruise on his head...right below and behind his right ear is pretty nasty. He is limping and has a tiny bit of neuro deficit on that side...he looks like a ship with too much ballast...he's listing to the right.

He gets to take it easy for a few days and that suits him just fine.

Thank you all for the prayers. Found out that I missed one of our priests and his wife by about ten minutes in the ER who came to pray for him.

((Julie)) I didn't know Michael had hurt himself! I'm glad everything is okay. You reminded me of a concussion I got in the first grade. Recess bell rang and I was running around the corner as a little boy came from opposite direction and we collided heads! I was home for a week with dizziness and some blurred vision and nasty nasty headache.

I hope Micheal improves with each day.

I hope that Michael and you had a good night's rest, and that he is feeling a bit better today :)

He is doing better today, though a little tentative about the wood floor. I'm going to be investing in some bedroom slippers for all as we are not used to real wood and real tile. He is still walking with his head cocked to the right and I noticed that he only slept on his left side last night. He is so sore all over too. So far, seizure free.

I know that from being so tense yesterday and not taking my meds has reallly done a number on my body. I feel like I got hit by a truck.
