What are the effects of Congo Red in the brain infected with Alzheimer's Disease?

From what I've read, congo red is poisonous. Curcumin is similar, and is not toxic. It is the yellow pigment from curry powder. As I read the research done on mice, about 24 mg/kg of body weight per day is about the right amount to use.
