No angry words....there just aren't any words that would change anything.
We miss you....your sisters miss you...I've heard from them all. Your Dad and I just exchange looks that say everything...even eye contact is painful today. :(

Just to clarify ... the Blue Morpho butterfly on the postcard isn't the one that only lives for 3 - 5 days. (That was the Atlas Moth) I don't know the lifespan of the Blue Morpho.

I am SO looking forward to that real hug for you and Mr. Alffe. I'm hoping I plan it right to make it there AFTER the Notre Dame game starts!!!!
You and family and Michael have been in my thoughts. And when Michael comes up every time this year...right on the heels starts my family's 'time of year' for Janine. I hope Michael hears us and goes and finds Janine. They'd have a ROCKIN good time Alffe!
I know in my heart that even though his passing on was very untimely, he is in a good place, Alffe. I know that in the wake of his passing are the people who love and miss him as with all deaths. But, I have to believe that he and our other loved ones are in a good place and they continue on...not only in our hearts but somewhere out there, they are moving on...watching over us...and being involved in making our universe a better place.
They will forever be intertwined in whatever we do and wherever we go..forever and ever.
Side note to Mr. Moi. Thank you Mr. Moi for helping me find my faith that one day we were alone together on the way to the airport. It was a huge turning point in my life (((Mr. Moi))) I am forever indebted to you for that.
I love you guys. The Alffe's and the entire room.

Yep, this is a time of year when I remember my father. I can imagine my dad up/out there doing his old man happy dance with them. :grouphug:
Happy Birthday, Michael
Alffe ... I have been thinking about you all morning (its still morning here).
I sing this song with passion and think about my son Derek.
I've printed it here in this forum before... and cuz I'm in the mood, I'm sharing this again.
I think about everyone in my life and reach out my arms to them if they are beside me.
Alffe, I want you to know that you are beside me today and so, I dedicate these lovely Lyrics from Wicked (the Broadway play):
"For Good"
I've heard it said
That people come into our lives for a reason
Bringing something we must learn
And we are led
To those who help us most to grow
If we let them
And we help them in return
Well, I don't know if I believe that's true
But I know I'm who I am today
Because I knew you:
Like a comet pulled from orbit
As it passes a sun
Like a stream that meets a boulder
Halfway through the wood
Who can say if I've been changed for the better?
But because I knew you
I have been changed for good
It well may be
That we will never meet again
In this lifetime
So let me say before we part
So much of me
Is made of what I learned from you
You'll be with me
Like a handprint on my heart
And now whatever way our stories end
I know you have re-written mine
By being my friend:
Like a ship blown from its mooring
By a wind off the sea
Like a seed dropped by a skybird
In a distant wood
Who can say if I've been changed for the better?
But because I knew you:
Because I knew you:
I have been changed for good
And just to clear the air
I ask forgiveness
For the things I've done you blame me for
But then, I guess we know
There's blame to share
And none of it seems to matter anymore
Like a ship blown from its mooring by a wind off the sea.
Like a seed dropped by a sky bird in a distant wood.
Who can say if I've been changed for the better?
I do believe I have been changed for the better?
And because I knew you:
Because I knew you:
Because I knew you:
I have been changed for good.

That is a beautiful song, Addy. I pretended you were singing it as I read the lines. :)
I logged on for the sole purpose of saying 'thanks' for sharing with us. (I often just read and move on without logging in ...)
