Missing You Dad

That God would call your name.
In life I loved you dearly;
In death I do the same.
It broke my heart to lose you,
But you did not go alone,
For part of me went with you
The day God called you home.
You left me beautiful memories,
Your love is still my guide,
And although I cannot see you,
You are always by my side.
Our family chain is broken
And nothing seems the same,
But as God calls us one by one,
The chain will link again

My father passed away Aug. 11, 99 from ephazema I always say prayers for him. May his memory be eternal.

that was a beautiful tribute to your dad, made me cry, my dad is also by my side always, answers my questions all the time, may 8th was a tough day here and has been for eleven years. I miss you dad, thank you for the poem it touched me deeply

There's nothing like a dad to pick you up when you've fallen down, to teach you how to ride a bicycle, take you fishing or to a ball game. After "things" happened I'm not sure if my dad felt the same about me anymore. But I have to hold on to the thought that by now he's forgiven me. :o
