Night off Dearie:) Thank Gawd! I have to behave and save my time for summer now. I went from about 250 hours to 50 or so in my time bank. I like to have the max in there for emergencies and that's 300+. It's going to take me awhile to get back there even at almost ten hours a week earned time...LOL

Oh yeah, lake effect has been the big weather buzzword around here for years. It's still coming down but only flurries now, thankfully. Now the knuckleheads are claiming that we'll be in the 40°s by Tuesday! MI is the ultimate in freaky weather. Winds are chilled at a brisk 15mph and they're calling at 0°. Whatever, cold is cold.

Spring can't come soon enough. I'm gonna livetrap me a groundhog and force him to see a shadow this year. I'm sick up and fed with this junk!

:D Everyone who lives in New England knows that the weather mostly comes from the west. There are times when the wind backs up to the northeast and a blizzard will hum up the coast and bury ya, but mostly...west.

My house backs up to the west...all the living order of things are on the east side, doors and such.

When the wind blows from the west it carries the snow..about a mile, on the open lake, covered with snow. It all backs up against my house. It's insulation against the cold. It cuts the icy wind and keeps in the heat.

I got to thinking how you all are another form of insulation against the cold. You keep me warm and that is a very valuable thing in the wintertime...:)

Quite right, RW, we watch WI for our weather, it usually sweeps in right out of Green Bay and picks up a little extra moisture along the lake. Such is the life of shore living. But, summer is divine (until it gets too hot and humid and turns me into yesterday's jello and ruins all the fun so I'm stuck inside with the AC anyway and TV is even more boring in summer).

We are getting rumors of above freezing rolling in around Sunday here, we'll see!

Holly is loving the snow. She was out there last night playing in it! It was 10 degrees and the dumb dog wanted to play ball in the snow!

PODH finally took her out in it!

Today the sun is shining on all the new snow but we are supposed to have another storm blow through tonight and tomorrow. It's been a winter for snow here in the valley, very unusual!

Glad to hear Hollydog is doing well! She came through with flying colors, didn't she!! I can just picture her out in the snow. Dogs are always fun when they get to go out and play in the snow, running and digging their noses down deep into it to see if anything's under there!
