My Mother is in the middle of a series of 40 HBOT treatments right now... she's a bit claustrophobic... so getting the chamber is a bit hard... but the people at the center she's going to are great about it... she's noticed some positive changes... her "cold" leg is warmer at times... she's using her cane less and just last week started walking up stairs one stair per footstep vs. both feet on a step to the next... small improvements... but we'll take any improvements! :)

Great sight for alot of information and geared towards young RSD sufferers and their familys, I find they explain things so they are easy to understand.

i went through a hb cycle a long time ago...it was actually a random occurance. i went diving and my tank had a problem...as a result i came up to quickly and ended up with the bends. they stuck me in a tank to balance the oxygen in my blood and the funny thing we noticed was the fact that the rsd in my leg seemed to improve a little with each round. at the time they thought it was just a bonus to balance out my out of wack body, but now a days research has shown that forcing high level o2 into areas affected by rsd results in improvements. i think it has something to do with the fact that the damage caused by rsd effects the circulation (thus the temp differentials), and the more o2 causes improvement.

Hi,
I am also researching this treatment and hope to try it out soon. We need to get fore info out there about alternative treatments such as HBOT since they are non-invasive and no meds required! Thanks again!
