Hi friends and NT family! I'm so excited! I am going to NC tomorrow to spend 10 days w/DD, DSIL, Sis & her family.

I really need this right now. Winter is just draining me..
DD has been going thru alot of med testing and are still waiting on results, so the timing is right. I've been so worried about her, so can't wait to hug my lil girl, who is 31!!

Play nice while I'm gone; haven't decided whether I will take my laptop or not. :hug:

It's hard when your older kids are sick, especially when they live far from you. Hopefully, you will feel better once you see you DD.

If you get tired of NC come on down a ways to Georgia! There's a few of us here - but it's cold today....BRRRRR!!! Highs only in the low 40's. But I'm in North GA. I think Bird is in central GA and Momma is in south GA.

Where will you be staying whilst in NC? My Mum and other family members were here over the holidays and we went up to Asheville, NC, and absolutely fell in love with the town. If you're not too far, perhaps take a ride up there and take a look around. It is absolutely breathtaking!

Have a lovely time, Mary Ann!:) I'm sure your daughter is counting the hours. I know I was before Mum came to visit us.:D

DID NOT! I just couldn't hook up at DS's, as he doesn't have wireless. I AM ON!!!!

I am so happy to be here. DD, DSIL and my Sis were a sight for sore eyes. (and my eyes were sore)

It was in the high 40's when I got here, but today is supposed to be high 50's, I think.

Oh, DD lives in Clayton. She used to live in Clinton, but they bought a house closer to where they work. Niece also lives here, but used to live in Burgaw, not far from Wilmington. It's a family reunion of sorts...

I hear ya on that one, Barb. Just talked to DH and he said it was 48 early today and now it's 12 w/freezing rain. I can't~~ I won't~~ no way do I want to go home to that again. It's been a miserable Winter in IL and many other places. Enough already.

My Mother is a snowbird and here in AZ with us and then with my DS and BIL in Iowa for 6 months.

I tell everyone my sis and I share everything even Mom! :)

The weather back there has been awful and she hears from her friends in Nauvoo, IL and just as bad there. :(

The Midwest is really getting socked this year after a few relatively mild Winters. :o

Yest it was so nice here, 65 and I took a nice walk. DH said that is was -7 in IL this a.m. He said they had "ice" last night. The only bad thing about being in 60+ weather this wk, is that I have to go home to bitter cold and my body will no doubt, rebel!

You're right, AZjanie~ the Midwest and many other parts of the country have really had horrible weather. Come on SPRING!!!
