Well, Mom....me and the Olhipie got her a new puppy...Boxer/Pitt Bull.

She is wonderful...seven weeks old so really little...

Help us name the Puppy!! Isn't she just the cutiest...

or 'Aw-nold' (rough and tough name .. and has to be pronounced in a low-deep voice)

Years ago we got an adult dog from the pound that was also a boxer/pit mix, she was ever so sweet....her name was "Brandi". Brandi was a great watch dog, basically loved everyone, as long as they didn't wear a uniform. Granted, this was before hubby and I got married, and he'd come to visit and she'd growl and carry on when she saw his uniform...she'd watch at the door while he went back to the patrol car, remove his shirt and gun belt and secure everything and when he came back to the door, you'd have thought they were best friends!

Enjoy the new puppy! DH got one last month and named her Sammi (Samantha)....the name grew on me....but at first I thought 'whatever' :p

My grown dog is named "Tiramisu" like the Italian Dessert. I call her "Tira" for short and the Gkids call her 'misu'.....

I've read that a name with two syllabuls is best for a dog, such as when you call her, or disaplain.

Such as: TIRA!! or SAMMI!!

Adding a third syllabul they don't recommend...but who knows, I didn't follow that rule with Tira :D bud did find myself shorting over time.....

Yes, I was a breader of Bassett Hounds for years and I recommended the same thing...she is already calling her just Daisy...I hopefully will have some better pictures soon...when my daughter...Krista brings back my camera...
