My Sister Passed Away Today

Thank you, everyone, for your thoughts and prayers this past week. My sister passed away this morning at about 7:10 AM. As much as it hurts those of us still here we all know that she is in no more pain and that she is in a better place so we are thankful for that.

The next few days I will have company and I'm already SO exhausted. I just sent Kevin out to the grocery store to pick up lots of things we need. Thank goodness he is here to do these things for me.

Thank you again for all the kind words, thoughts and most of all prayers from everyone. I love my MSW/NT board buddies very much!

Oh Kelly, I am so very sorry. :hug: I have 6 sisters who are all so very dear to me and even the thought of losing just one is more than I can bare. Tears are streaming down my face as I post this. I do believe with all my heart that your sister is in heaven where there is no pain and suffering and Jesus has her by the hand. I have lost both my parents, but I guess we expect that as we (and they) age. Losing a sibling (or a child) would be extremely hard, even though we know they've gone to a beautiful place.

Thank you so much for your concern - I'm doing pretty good. All the company has gone and things are quiet but it's still hard to believe she is gone. It'll just take a while for it to sink in. I've been through the death of close family members four times before (all since 2001) so I'm becoming an expert of the process - or the process for me since everyone deals with this sort of thing differently. It's not something I ever want to become accustomed to. :(

Hi Kelly~ After the crowd leaves is when it hits ya. You have a right to grieve and it's normal. The Hospice assn told me that grief has to take it's natural course.

They told me about the 3 T's. *I know I've mentioned this B4, but it helped me immensely.
