I have been hanging out on the MS board because I feel like I have more than just fibro, I have had a clear MRI so Dr doesn't feel it's MS but I have SX that don't look like fibro to me. My LP came back suggesting MS but there was no o-bands so it was positive for MS. Anyway here is my full SX list, am I crazy for thinking this looks like is more than just fibro?

Blurred vision, eye pain - comes and goes
Jerky Eye Movements - comes and goes
Flashing lights in eyes - comes and goes
floaters, spots that move on eyes - all the time
Muscle weakness and numbness - most of the time
Spasms, Cramps, Involuntary contraction of muscles - most of the time
Restless Leg Syndrome - most nights
Shaking - all the times, is worst at times
Partial numbness, tingling, buzzing and vibration sensations - comes and goes
Nerve pain and electrical shock sensations - comes and goes
Odd tingling feeling over body, like when you get chill bumps but I don't get "the bumps"
IBS
Short-term and long-term memory problems, forgetfulness - really bad all the time
Anxiety - comes and goes
Slurred speech and "loss of word" (can't say a word I'm trying to) - comes and goes
Increase in severity of symptoms with heat
Body hurts when cold
Swallowing problems - comes and goes
Not sleeping well - most of the time
Cold hands and feet - most of the time
Fatigue - most of the time
Ears ringing - almost all the time, maybe all the time now
Headaches - most of the time, sometimes migraines
Vertigo - comes and goes
Feeling of floating when laying down - comes and goes
Low body temp
Feeling like I'm dreaming and just can't focus on what's going on - comes and goes
Facial tingling - comes and goes
Feel like I'm not emptying my bladder all the way sometimes
Painful tailbone, can't sit and watch a whole move or drive very long
When I look up my eye lid doesn't always move up - comes and goes
Unable to tell hot from cold water with my feet
I get optical migraines/painless migraines
Burning pain in left hip since Dec. 27th 2007 and it's still going on
"Black outs", My ears ring, eye site goes black, I can't tell if I'm still standing (I hang on to something), last about a minute.

Numbness started about 4 years ago, don't remember the details but had some numbness that lasted a week around my mid area (had a lot of slurred speech this time and "loss of word") and hands going numb a lot.

Dec. 28th 2007 when to the ER for left hand numbness, shortness of breath, major fatigue (I got winded and light headed just from talking).

Jan. 1st 2008 when to the ER for numbness from the lower ribs and down (both legs), still having the above going on. The leg numbness stayed for 2 1/2 days than I was numb just around my mid area and than the next day my left leg was numb for 2 days than just numb on left hip for a day.

Dec. 27th got a burning pain in left hip, hurts to even just touch the skin.
Jan. 9th pain area has gotten bigger.
Jan. 12th pain area is now most of the hip.
Jan. 24th pain area has gotten a little smaller but still hurts the same.
Feb. 2nd pain has gotten less but still hurts went touched and is still a burning pain.

Hi momxseven, do any of these symptoms look familiar?
"Sore throat, chills, sweats, low body temperature, low grade fever, lymphadenopathy, muscle weakness (or paralysis), muscle pain, muscle twitches or spasms, gelling of the joints, hypoglycaemia, hair loss, nausea, vomiting, vertigo, chest pain, cardiac arrhythmia, resting tachycardia, orthostatic tachycardia, orthostatic fainting or faintness, circulatory problems, opthalmoplegia, eye pain, photophobia, blurred vision, wavy visual field, and other visual and neurological disturbances, hyperacuity, tinnitus, alcohol intolerance, gastrointestinal and digestive disturbances, allergies and sensitivities to many previously well-tolerated foods, drug sensitivities, stroke-like episodes, nystagmus, difficulty swallowing, weight changes, paresthesias, polyneuropathy, proprioception difficulties, myoclonus, temporal lobe and other types of seizures, an inability to maintain consciousness for more than short periods at a time, confusion, disorientation, spatial disorientation, disequilibrium, breathing difficulties, emotional lability, sleep disorders; sleep paralysis, fragmented sleep, difficulty initiating sleep, lack of deep-stage sleep and/or a disrupted circadian rhythm. Neurocognitive dysfunction may include cognitive, motor and perceptual disturbances.

Cognitive dysfunction may be pronounced and may include; difficulty or an inability to speak (or understand speech), difficulty or an inability to read or write or to do basic mathematics, difficulty with simultaneous processing, poor concentration, difficulty with sequencing and problems with memory including; difficulty making new memories, difficulty recalling formed memories and difficulties with visual and verbal recall (eg. facial agnosia). There is often a marked loss in verbal and performance intelligence quotient (IQ) in M.E."
This is the shortened list of ME symptoms.
Look at for (http://for) the complete description-it may help you in getting a diagnosis.
Best of luck.
PS-just mentioned this to my daughter who has ME, and she said that if you have that it comes on suddenly-not gradually. You would also have problems in standing up as the blood flow can't compensate.

I am assuing you have been tested for Thryoid disorders?

Another thing to look at is estrogen deficiency. Have your sex hormones tested. If you are severly deficient in your sex hormones it can create some of these symptoms.

I just read a good book on estrogen deficiency by Dr Vliet.

Thank you, yes I have had test for thyroid and my hormones. All my blood work I have ever had with the exception of one liver enzyme (when I was on some pain meds) had come back OK.
