Church of course...Happy Easter everyone. We are busy planning our N.Y. trip with our grandaughter...she will be turning 13 the day we leave..oh wait...we're looking forward to traveling with a teenager??? :o She is of course, the exception to the rule...all our grandkids are. *grin

We're getting a second estimate on the painting work... still reeling from the first one. :o At their price we could take a long cruise.

I miss coloring eggs and buying chocolate bunnies...we are still dieting here and I don't want to be the friendly enemy.

Oh curious I'm not suprised about those pictures but thank you for trying.
Weren't they incredible!!

Hugs for the room....:grouphug:

I wanted to go to church today... found a nice looking little one way out in the country... I didn't go... too afraid.

Family is gathering at my parents house this afternoon...
I'll prob stay in my room... 22 people in a little house is not fun.

HAPPY EASTER to ALL....

We went to church with my FIL this morning then out to eat. This evening he's coming to our house for supper. Easter is a huge holiday for him and i know he's missing my MIL today something terrible. I need to get a nap in at some point as i'm recuperating from an inner ear infection and have felt horrible the past few days... Hope everybody has a blessed Easter today

We packed up an Easter basket with colored hard boiled eggs and more New York steak to go spend a little Easter with Nina in the ER. Emma even brought an Easter book to read to her and she did. I never expected them to send her back home with us! We are now force feeding baby food to her in her own house and will be taking her back to the ER this evening to get hooked back up to her IV. Turned out to be a great Easter afterall! Hope everyone had a great Easter!

Talked to our eldest daughter today and she was having everyone over for ham....sounded heavenly. *grin Mr.Alffe has taken Cooper for his walk.
Tomorrow is Dyngus Day here....and it's a huge political westside celebration.
I remember the year Bobby Kennedy came for it and we still have the home movies of him. There is talk the President Clinton and Chelsea may come.

I love the food...Polish sausage, sweet & sour cabbage, green beans...I just may have to have some of that.

Nohope...I just love the name Emma...that and Emily are favorites of mine.
So glad you and the girls are having a good day and that Nina is too. :grouphug:

Funny. Emily is Sara's middle name.

Took Nina back to the ER for the night. I was able to force feed her a jar of turkey baby food. Other than that, she slept the whole time she was here. I feel so much better now that she is getting food! 9 whole days of starvation!

Have fun tomorrow, Alffe!

I did have fun today nohope...thanks! I managed to leave the mashed potatoes w/gravy and the noodles on my plate but snarffed down the polish sausage, sweet & sour cabbage and greenbeans w/ham. :D

Then I came home and started putting masking tape on everything...going to paint, old or not...no way am I paying 7500.00 for two people to paint. If I don't fall and break my neck this could be fun.

Actually I have and I LOVE both of them. :o

It's been a dreadful day ... a really long and dreadful day and I'm trying to be funny ... my good old way of reacting to pain and sadness.
I think I'll just go to bed and cry myself to sleep.
Oh, poor little me.
Well, I'm not so little, am I? Rats.

I hope to finish the dang shutters today...Bizi suggested I get those little sponge brushes and they really do help alot..one pair done, two to go.
If you all are sick of hearing about them...try painting them. :p

And some man is coming at 2:00 to "go over" our cemetary decisions???
What's to talk about?? He claims he is the new owner of the cemetary and just wants to introduce himself and make sure we're on the same page. Mr.Alffe will have a fit if he tries to sell us anything.

South Pacific opened at Lincoln Center in NY last night...I hope it got raves reviews as we are taking one of our grandaughters to see it in June. I must admit that it's one of my very favorites.

This is the anniversary of Martin Luther Kings killing....~sigh.

Ok...what's on your plate?

(for South Pacific fans only)
Last visit, not this one, to the big time neuro at the hospital in St. Louis (on a trip to have ~sigh~ my head examined) she wanted me to quickly tap each middle finger against the thumb.
WOW!!!
I LEAPED up from my chair - me, the quiet, calm patient they are examining for results/trouble from my TWO brain surgeries - I started tapping my fingers - the CORRECT fingers of course - dancing and loudly singing/bellowing, "Happy talk is talking happy talk. Talk about things you like to dooooooooooo" and on and on.
They couldn't stop me - my husband, the doctor or her gang of students because they were all frozen with surprise. shock and plain old fear. :D

Sit here until my BIL calls and needs a ride home from work... then come back here and sit some more...

May "try" to go Sunday to a little country church I found while out for a little drive.

Other than that... just sit here in the dark until Monday when someone needs a ride somewhere.

;);););) Awwwwhhhhh yeah Kathy .... I know what you're saying. I look like the woman singing Happy Talk, the Polynesian girl's MOTHER, not her.:(:( ~sigh~
Oh - I love South Pacific. I don't think it's an exaggeration to say I've seen that movie 50-60 times. I know most of it by heart and I start crying and singing when the music starts. I have it on tape here .... old worn out tape. I think I'll watch it again tonight.
Bali High is calling me .................................................. .

LOL now I really wish I could see Wren singing. Singing and crying at the same time, wow. :D ((Wren))

((Abbie)) I really think you should do more than sit in the dark this weekend! If it's as nice where you are as it's suppose to be here (high 50's lower 60's!!!) you should go somewhere and appreciate the beauty of the nature around you! Or go to a cafe and sip a good coffee. Go shoppin. Watch a movie. Take a nice bubble bath. Pamper yourself.

Daughter and I are opting to watch my collection of Will & Grace tonight instead of a movie...get a few laughs out of the deal. They just crack me up! :D
