Hey everyone. I went and saw the MS specialist yesterday and as usual it wasn't a real positive visit.

Since seeing him last (December) I have developed tremors. Mostly in my legs and hands.

He wants to put me on a beta blocker. Has anyone experienced tremors or used this medication?

I feel like a walking drug company as it is!!

I just would like some insight and as always opinions definetely welcomed:)

This is a really very complete article:

http://www.clevelandclinicmeded.com/medicalpubs/diseasemanagement/neurology/tremors/

Inderal (propranolol) is hard to take for some people. It can cause exercise intolerance, depression and memory problems, and bronchoconstriction if you have allergies and may cause asthma.

Some doctors will give a newer form of beta blocker, with less side effects, like atenolol.

You'll just have to try and see what happens to you. Some people do well, and the side effects don't bother them as much as the tremor does. Others just cannot manage.

Thanks for the article. I found it very interesting. Will see what happens. I have to wait until the bw comes back before I start it. Checking my thyroid and liver functions first.;)
