Has anyone tried this? I would love to have the opportunity but I don't know how to go about it.

Do you mean a stimulator for the Occipital Nerves? I have Occipital Neuralgia, but I have not tried a stimulator yet, as the nerve blocks I've been having have worked for me. I guess the stimulator would be my next move, but I haven't yet asked my Neurologist about it. I think you would have to ask your neurologist about it.

Has anyone tried this? I would love to have the opportunity but I don't know how to go about it.

Yes that is what I am referring to. I had an occ block last week (first time) but it didn't help me at all and now my head is sore at the injection site. I read that a patient's response to an occ block is not necessarily linked to success or failure to the stimulator.

I have tried and failed so many preventative drugs over more than ten years and suffered some pretty unpleasant side effects.

I would love to be able to have a pre implant trial but I can't figure out how to accomplish that.

For now, I am trying Botox and Namenda but I only had the Botox once and I am still at a low dose of the Namenda. the good news is that there are no adverse side effects, a major hurdle.

I currently have a trial ONSTIM. I've been updating my facebook page twice a day; feel free to visit to see how it's going. You do have to be a facebook member to see it.

I can't post a link to it since I have fewer than 10 posts, but if you go to facebook and do a search on ONSTIM my group is "No, my head has not exploded - yet! Barb's migraine and ONSTIM updates."
