I just got back from a long walk with my neighbor who called in tears. She didn't want me to come over because her husband hates it when she cries and she needed to cry.
Men and women really do grieve differently and maybe that's why a lot of marriages don't survive a suicide. She wondered what I say when people ask me how many children I have. I always say three living and then dread the coming question. She wondered if I had gotten counseling, or took pills, if I sleep at night and she wondered why she couldn't even cry alone in the bathroom without him knocking on the door asking, what's wrong?
What's wrong??? Same old thing that's always gonna be wrong. ~sigh
We stood in the street hugging and crying.
I wonder what the neighbors thought. :(

To which I reply, who cares Ms. Alffe. What better place for you to hug and cry with someone else than out in the glorious open for all the world to see. You're so compassionate. Your neighbor is a very lucky person to know you.
Me, I just got done being outside for several hours raking in my gardens again and I am pooped. Ms. Bruna had a ball on her long long chain romping around in the yard and barking at anyone who even dared go by our property, LOL. Ferocious little weiner girl!

When she asked me how I stand it...I said I just do...but I lied.....How do you tell someone who is newly in this journey...that it's unending..it just gets familar along the way..and it gets barable..~sigh
I am glad that you can support her....I do know that this is hard on you too.
becareful......
I love you

Thank you Biz...I love you too.
What's on my plate today? Hopefully it will warm up enough to get out in the yard and tackle those leaves. The county quit their leaf pick up program and I have a lot of big old trees...and probably some neighbors ticked off at me after yesterdays wind. I think I'll crank up the gospel music and rake away.
Hugs for the room. :grouphug:
What's on your plate??
Edit to add that 96 years ago today the Titanic started sinking.....

My BIL from Oregon is here for the week so we've been spending as much time with him as we can... Today, i'm filling out the job applications I've collected over the past few days... I'm bound and determined to find another job. They've severely cut back my hours at my present job and have changed what i do. They gave my driving job to another person whose job also got taken by another person with more seniority. The way they are handling things is so unfair. wish me luck...

what's on my plate? going to lunch with my sister (another polish dinner cause the owner ordered too much sausage on dyngus day) And then will tackle the leaves some more. Maybe bag some..it's taking forever to burn them.
Our daughter is coming tomorrow for the weekend and I'll just want to play while she's in town.
The lilac bushes actually have little green leaves....amazing!
I wonder if Twink and Tammi have been to Sedona? Yes, I fly. LOL!
Ok, what's on your plate?
Glad to you liked Caretakers of Wonder Tammi...it's definitely you.

taking my FIL to get his left hand x-rayed again. Last week it swelled up and was really hurting him. Rick took him to get it x-rayed but it showed nothing. Now that the swelling has gone down a bit its been recommended that we take him again... The nursing staff at the place he lives thinks it probally has a hairline fracture.
