What do you have in mind? I've got lots of books! But the Janet Evanovich books are not fair swaps, they are fast reads.

I get her new one every year when it comes out for my friend Justine for her birthday. I read it, then give it to her husband to read (he got me started on them!) Then we give it to her cuz she is a slooooow reader! She belongs to a book club and always seems to be in the middle of a HUGE book so Brad and I can laugh about the latest escapades of Steph, Lula, Morelli, Ranger and Grandma Mazur until Justine puts her novel down and reads the book!

LOL I want my very own Ranger! Now if I could just get one of those at the store!

No fair trading Evanovich books because we've read them all LOL, but I do have several, humerous chick lit, heart tuggers, and suspense books around!

And I have to say as a life long reader of Evanovich, this one
was better than the previous 2-3.

I bet it has to be VERY VERY difficult to keep grinding out
books in a series.
Some of my favorite authors seem to hit slumps.
Anne Rice (mega slump)
Pat Cornwell (Major slump)
and recently
Faye and Jonathan Kellerman seem to have lost that "feeling" which made their earlier books great.

Fearless Fourteen, got to be a bit much near the end...too much of a good thing, but at least it had energy and was pretty funny!

So I thought I'd chime in here. Fearless Fourteen had at least 14 laugh out loud times for me! LOL

I have read and mostly enjoyed the Alex Delaware series by Jonathan Kellerman.
I have not yet read the last 2 books of that series yet (but I have those 2 and will read them later)

I have not read any his wife's books yet.

After constantly reading Alex Delaware since last spring (yes, that series took many months for me to go through) I felt I needed a break from Detective type stories so right now I'm reading a bit of thoughtless escapism...
Dean Koontz stuff.
I'll probably be reading that kind of book till at least after the Holidays.

Janet Evanovich was recommended to me, I have found some of them at Library free paperback exchange racks and the Goodwill but so far I have NOT read any of her books. Seems to be a series and my habit is to gather a series together so that I can read and follow the lives of the characters in proper order as written. The ones I've found are diff numbers of the series but I don't have #1 of her Plum series yet.
It's good to know the posters here enjoy her work.

Thank you, but no. I have #10.

I looked and since I began gathering them I have #'s 2,6,7,8,9,10,11,12, "Plum Lovin' " (That says it's between the numbers novel)
and 2 that are not in the series "Full House" and "Motor Mouth"

Like I said I haven't started reading them yet.
I'm sure sooner or later I'll run across those early numbers I don't have.

I don't do mail trades, or at least never have, cuz of high postage costs.

I get them free at Library Free Paperback Book Exchange racks at no cost and at $1 for hardbacks and 50¢ for a paperback I pick books up at the Friend's of the Library Book sales and Goodwill half price sales.
When I pass those places I stop and look.
It's like Treasure Hunting on a shoe string.:p
The Library Free Paperback Book Exchange in my area is pretty active spring, summer and fall but not so much in the winter. I think everyone else does like me and gathers them to read over winter. I love the no cost and no strings attached.
Then when I finish reading them I generally trade or donate them back to the same places I got them from.

You had me confused, I thought there were two series that were numbered. The detective series and the other one she writes. I've only read the Detective Series! They are hilarious.

used to be a romance writer. I think they are re-releasing her old stuff, now that she is mega popular.

She also has 3 novellas, which were released at holiday season for gifts. They are shorter than the regular series.
They call them "between the numbers" novellas.

You can see them listed on Amazon.com
