DD got a laptop for graduation so I got my laptop back that she took to college. I am loving this..... I can sit on the back porch and do research for Me Slate and Stone, I can check my email or post a new thread on NT.

Oh man! I didn't know you had been suffering like this! :( Thank goodness all can now be right with the world. My life would be hideous without my laptop! What would my coffee house do without my patronage!?!
From a porch in MI to a porch in ME, YAY!!! :yahoo:

I've had, only, a Laptop, since 2002, when I purchased me very first PC. It sits right here, on the sofa, right beside me, at all times.:D
I don't have wireless hooked up, 'cause I don't go anywhere anyway. All my gear is right here, within reach.
I have my own little playpen and computer island, raight cher, on me couch.. :trampoline:

Yeah! I am like Cindy, what would I do without my laptop. And now that I have this tiny like Macbook, I am happy as a clam.
My shoulder is happy too...no more lugging around that 20lb PC laptop I used to carry! This one weights about 2lbs and I can carry it in my purse practically! Not that I carry one! LMOA It's great! I love it!!!
Hey Char...glad things went well...you will have to fill me in! :D

OK, now I'm officially jealous. I'm stuck back here in my office with my PC. I can't use a laptop while I'm watching a show or anything.

I'm impressed. If I lent anything electronic to my dd it would come back in pieces if at all.
I guard my laptop with my life.

Now it depends which DD I am talking about - and to tell the truth the laptop was crashed - I had to reinstall the entire system and don't have any word processor on it - it is bare. But I can get online! :D
AYUP FG, that was alot of fun w/our dueling laptops.
We did the same thing when Yabbit, Cin, RW and I GTG. You travel to meet up w/people and you get on the laptop. Too funny!
When I first got my laptop a few yrs ago, I remember feeling really akward trying to use the built in mouse, but now I fumble around on DH's desktop.
Oh, and AMN~ http://dl5.glitter-graphics.net/pub/945/945485l0cyai0biu.gif (http://www.glitter-graphics.com)

go to openoffice.org they are a replica of MS office, and will do ALL of the same things for FREE, but just call it something different. it will open ALL documents, slide shows, Power point stuff and so on. FREE! no charge! beats paying microsoft for their product.
I have a huge lap top, that while a monster, is amazing when I go traveling. it has a TV in it, a Tivo in it, wireless so I can be in the middle of the woods and get a signal on it, and a nice wide screen. it has been my comfort bag when I am away. it plays all my games, and my TV programs for me! who can ask for more? btw, I would NEVER loan it to either of my kids. you know it would come back with a sad story, and an Im sorry.
