I can't see it being an allergy, but I do seem to have a sensitivity to sunlight. Does anyone know if there's any kind of test that can be done to check it?

I've had my eyes swollen shut, burning and itching every time I've had a sunburn on my face. For the past few years, my skin becomes thin(?) and I easily bruise and bleed after being in the sun for more than 15 minutes in a day. When that happens, any little bump will cause a bruise and often bleeding, and even mild rubbing will cause the top layer/s of skin to peel off and leave bleeding scrapes. It seems to be almost entirely on my forearms and hands, but sometimes on my ankle or top of my foot if they aren't covered.

I do have a lot of other allergies and sensitivities, in fact distilled vinegar is just about the only product I can use for cleaning and I can't be around anything that's scented. Is it likely that sunlight might be the problem, or do you think it's more likely just coincidence?

According the Mayo clinic, a person can be allergic to the sun:

It can be triggered by a medication, chemical, or condition.

Thanks for the info and the link. I'm not sure if it's good news that I may not be crazy or bad news that I may be stuck in the shade or indoors forever.
