because they eat BUGS !!

really, they work 18 hours a day pecking, chasing, and gobbling.

the BEST part was when the termites hatched, the ducks formed CIRCLES around the bases of the trees with nests, and had BUFFET-style dining.

it was simply amazing.

oh, and I'm particularly fond of the photo above because the scorpion mama's front claw is hooked around the NAIL my hubby just pounded in, as if to say, "HANG ON, kiddies!"

mi esposo kept his wits about him, backed down the ladder, and went to get the camera, 'cause it was definitely a Kodak moment!
