Epic poem game

How about an epic poem? I start with one line. The next person adds a line that RHYMES with the first, then adds a third line. The next person rhymes that line, then adds one, and so on.

For example, I write:
Roses are red, violets are blue.

The second person writes:

Sugar is sweet, and so are you.
Sweeter than honey you are to me...

The next person writes:

The sweetest honey that comes from a bee.
Your eyes are as blue as the sky above.

And so on.

If it doesn't make sense the way I've explained it, STOP ME!! Otherwise, here is the starting line:


Sometimes it seems like a faraway dream

so far from me I want to scream,

my eyes searching for the stars and sun

Wondering where the race was done;
I call your name, but you're not there

remembering the sun shinning in your hair.

sweet smiles a glow in your eyes,

Each time you caught my heart by surprise,
And left me out of breath and weak

my inner soul you were always able to tweek.

making my heart rate race, my desires so real

In a way no one ever could make me feel.
I wonder some mornings how this could be

how does your love set me free.

I embrace your love with open arms

I marvel in your endearing charms

Only our love so pure,and true

Can endure the trials we're going through,
And yet grow stronger every day.

swaying to a magical beat of its own.

That these days and nights that we now cherish
Would still be as bright as we both grow old

with dreams of romance that we hold

growing closer each and every day

I remember the time I first heard you say
"I love you", and the way my heart felt

I closed my eyes

Each day was like the day we met

such wonder as we watched the tournament.

I knew then you would be for me.

missing her love like never before

was never such a sad chore.

She see him in those bright stars

and he leaves several wounds and scars.

still her heart he did swoon.

Her mind races forward, to a special day,

But it makes no difference, anyway.
If he could hear, if he could see

the person shes turning out to be.

She longs to be with him night or day

And in quiet moments, she'll desperately pray
That he'll think back on moments past

knowing their precious love would last.

He'll come back she hopes and knows,

Perhaps their love will even grow.

So she bought a new gown, for when he comes back

to dance with her hearts contend.
but as she strolled down the road.

she realized she was alone with no place to go.
Her love is not there, not on this road, not on this day

Did her leave or go astray
She sat down on that road & began to think

with not only her love but her sanity on the brink

Was it all a dream, this gorgeaous charming lad

A dream having to do with something she had?

Was it the cookies or glass of milk
