You're right, Coyote. It HAS been mighty quiet around here lately. Maybe we all need to get some interesting threads going, huh?

I didn't do much today, myself. Washed a few loads of clothes...watch some football...spent some time with my kids. Nothing to get excited about...

How 'bout you? You do anything interesting?

Yesterday...I rearranged my living room to uncover a heating vent.

2 heavy couches and a heavy rocking chair. Guess how my body felt last night.

Oi vey.

Well, I had a long weekend because I called in sick today. Something's wrong with the picure when I'd rather be sick than to go to work.............long story.
I caught up on some reading. Can't do laundry because my washing machine drain overflowed twice yesterday..........
TV gets boring fast. Tonight I couldn't even stand the sound of it being on.
Back to the grind tomorrow.
Here in the Northeast, we are in the middle of rain, rain, and more rain. Already have H2O in the cellar.
Not much else new.

I also noticed there is not much participation here re: FM. I remember there was a lot more posts on the old Brain Talk FM forums. I am hanging out on the Chronic Pain area and rsd areas. Has anyone checked for anything on the old Braintalk FM site?

The BT FM forum is about the same. I accidentally went to the old forum, thinking it was this one because the color scheme looks the same. I was so confused!
As coyote said, it is raining like the dickens out here so my body is reacting to the cold and damp. Oh goody! My rosacea is starting to act up because of the switch to colder weather and my skin is drying up and uncomfortable. So I am a little grumpy about that.
I had PT along with my first acupuncture today. I hate to say that the PT works better. I just had little bzzts all up and down my left leg and nothing doin' on my right. I guess its not for me. Luckily the treatment was a trial run by my physiatrist so he didn't charge me. I am a tad sore because of all the body work done today....which accounts for why I am up so late.:D
Otherwise...I am as right as rain....no pun intended coyote!:D

I guess the bad old rain is getting us all now...LOL. We finally had a clear day in VA today, but tomorrow it's supposed to start all over again. Cold and dampness always aggravate my fibro to a considerable degree. Is this the same for all of you guys???

Yes...well it is for me anyway. I also have a problem with extreme heat and humidity. I think it has more to do with having to use AC than anything but I am not exactly sure.
We are expecting the same weather pattern. Ain't November grand???? And to think, I got married in November 5 years ago!:D

It is very quiet around here. Hopefully as time goes on, more and more people will come on the scene.

I'm latched on to this place for now. As I've said before, and I'll say it again...I like it here at NeuroTalk much better.

I recovered fairly well from my moving escapade on Sunday. It's just back to the same pain as before, minus the sore back muscles from moving.

And I hear ya on the weather. I've no doubt it gets me going to. I'm in the midwest and it's just very typical November weather! I'm a strange person though. I love snow and rain...when I don't have to go out in it, LOL. I love watching snow and rain from my couch at home where it's nice and cozy.

Yep...I guess we all hurt too much to post. This weather has been miserable for fibro! Yesterday was actually a nice one for a change, but hear the rain is making a come-back. :(

fibrowendy -- How did the acpuncture go? Did it help any with the pain? Do the needles hurt? It would be interesting hearing about your experience if you'd like.

Maybe this was discussed before...brain fog you know...but has anyone tried Lyrica? I have an appointment with my neuro next week (MS) and thought I'd ask for a trial. There HAS to be something to take away at least some of this pain. It's becoming unbearable at times. Do you find your FM progressing? Sure seems to be getting worse over the years. I don't like it!!! As if anyone does!!!

Have a less pain day everyone. Gentle hugs.

Hi Judy! Thanks for asking.
The acupuncture has actually increased my pain 3-fold. I can't walk or stand for very long without immense pain in my left leg and hip. Even making the bed causes me pain now.
So my advice is be careful about this procedure. As for the needles hurting, believe it or not they hurt more coming out than going in. The needles are so thin that you feel the pressure of the person putting in the needle more than anything. But beyond that, I think that it is a person to person experience.

Judy,

I'm afraid that with all the pain my fibro gives me, I seldom stop in here to say "hello" - sorry. I promise I will be more active in the future. (Unless you and the others want to tell me to keep away!)

I caught your question on Lyrica and I found it to be an excellent med. I have peripheral neuropathy in my feet so nothing takes away my pain. But, it is expensive and also makes you gain weight - I put on 15 lbs. and am having a heck of a time taking it off.

So, now I'm an overweight chronic pain person but happier than before I took the Lyrica.

Later everyone,
Nancy-H

Hi, I don't post a lot, usually when I have a question or 2 but...I do lurk and read the posts..

I live close to toronto ON, and it has been rainy a lot here as well, so the pain and everything else had been bad for me as well.

But, here I am so I thought I would drop by and say HI!

Fiberowendy, I had acupuncture for years. It helped me with an infection, depression, somewhat with pain (like pt), but it took awhile to work.
What you went through doesn't sound good. Maybe your body just has a different reaction to it. Are you going back?

Doody...I am the same way...:D I love to sit inside and watch the rain and snow through the windows, especially when there's a nice warm fire going in the fireplace!

Judy...I was on Lyrica for a while. It did seem to help me some with a few of my fibro symptoms, but it only seemed to make my fibro-fog worse. I've heard both good and bad reports from other people, so you might just have to try it before you'll know how it works for you.

Lisa...Hi! :) I hope you decide to post more often! The more the merrier, right?

I hope that all of you are doing well this weekend. If this darn weather would just settle down a bit it wouldn't be so bad...
