excellent article for explanation of mitochondrial dysfunction and oxidative stress in neurodegenerative diseases--and interesting discussion of antioxidants. (including the VERY important fact that the SS peptide antioxidants presented are highly "druggable" which I interpret to mean they can be patented, and thus potentially profitable for some drug company, so MAYBE someone will fund a few studies on these peptides...
