i began with a tremor and right sided weakness in august...a doc looking for autoimmune came back with positive lyme titer and then positive western blot, igm bands 39 & 41, and neg igg...began 30 days of doxy with no improvement in symptoms...an id doc reran the western blot and it came back negative...last week i saw a neurologist who dxed parkinsons based on improvement of tremor with sinemet and a cogwheel rigidity in my right wrist...he has completely discounted the lyme possibility...
i cant seem to find that cogwheel rigidity is associated with lyme...can anyone help clarify that?
my plan is to have the western blot run at igenex and to see another movement disorder specialist for a 2nd opinion on the p.d. but that could take a while...im open to any and all suggestions and opinions...

Some neurologists are using SPECT scans of the brain to
confirm Lyme:

I do not know if insurance pays for this test, or if it is available where you are, however.
