I either have lyme or parkinson's...trying to figure that out, if that's even possible. One of the things that the neurologist found that lead him to the parkinson's dx was "cogwheel rigidity" I know that lyme can cause the tremor and weakness that i have been having on my right side, but if lyme is presenting as parkinson like syndrome, will cogwheel rigidty be present, or is that symptom specific to parkinson's? I am also posting this question on the parkinson's board.

Hi Beck,
I have lymes, but was MISS DX with RSD (very rough neuro problems).
While laying down in the evening I would get rough jerks mostly in my arms.
You need to find a LYME LITERATE MD.

I just got my cd 57 back, it was a 42, normal is 60-360...why is this test not used for diagnostic purposes if the only thing it measures is lyme related? i am still waiting for the results from igenex for the lyme panel and the related infections panel...a few more days...
does anyone know a llmd who specializes in neurology? im willing to travel. the closest llmd to me has an i.d. background...i really feel like i need a neurologist.

Hi,
I understand 100% why you must be frustrated. Every Neuro. at least 30 Neuro. MD'S gave me a rubbish RSD DX,. I was told except it. If you know me, I am one to ask alot of questions, like who, what, where, why and how.
I have never heard of a Neuro. treating LYME. I believe their are a couple knowledgeable rheumatologists however that treat LYME in the STATES.
IGENEX is the best lab for LYME, .but it is still made by a clinical DX.
Much Love, Roz
