I wonder what would be a good way to get the word out to other BT1 members about BT2? I only found this site myself by pure accident, a few days ago.

BTW - On the BT1 forums my username was Autowizard. I don't know why I decided to reinvent myself here. :cool:

I e mailed you as I am confused about posting. I have read the forums for years but couldn't participate due to user name and e mail confusion. Now I am listed as a visitor. Why did they choose this category and not a new member or junior member? Can you help me as to posting and replying. I finally would like to participate in the new forum.

Hi Sydney, and Welcome to BrainTalk2 :)

I replied to your PM, but I thought I would reply here as well in case other people have similar questions.

You have the title as "Visitor" because you only have 1 post. When anyone signs up for this forum, they are considered a "visitor" if they have 0 posts or 1 post. To change your title, you just have to post more. As soon as you have 2 posts, you will have the title of "New Member".

In terms of membership to this forum, you are a full member, you can post new topics, reply to any topics, participate in all of the discussions here. The "visitor" title under your name is an automatic title that relies on post count.

The titles are not important, and you can essentially ignore them. "Visitors", "New Members", "Junior Members", and "Members" all have the same abilities to post, reply, and participate.

I was just looking at your signature and thinking ...

I almost never have time to do things right because I make so many mistakes now that I have a bit of brain damage.

I fix as much as I have time for... and then I just have to give up.

In court things this is especially frustrating because of the losses and potential losses involved.

But I really have no choice. No matter how hard I try not to get things mixed up, I mix them up.

If it's something that is totally inconsequential, then I make fewer mistakes. The more important something is, the more mistakes I make. It is infuriating.

There are so many things I don't even attempt anymore because I know how hopeless it is. Genuinely hopeless unless I have a huge amount of time.
