We love you twinks, and know that you will grieve. And that is healthy. We are here for you dear friend. And you are in our prayers. :grouphug:

Thanks, Moi, and everyone who posted kind words. Your warm thoughts are just what I need to keep going.
My brother and I wrote the obituary last night. Now I have to write my talk for the funeral service. I don't mind delivering it, but writing it requires so much brain power and concentration. Ugh.

:hug:Oh sweetie, I am so sorry to hear this news :Sob:
I have just been reading through your posts. I was already on the verge of tears, when I found the thread about how you were able to recover your Dear Dad's voice recordings, I lost it. It warms my heart that along with your memories, you will also have these to cherish.
I can imagine how difficult this must be for you:( I remember how hard it was writing the obituary, and then my letter to Dad that I read at his service.... Try to find some time alone, and let the words just flow from you heart.
Please know I will be thinking of you and your family. I couldn't find a picture to convey all I have in my heart.... so I thought I would leave this one, the one I did for my Daddy... for yours:hug:

twinkling digits...
when you talk about your dad and his life stories and I remember the article you posted about him...
it touched many of us...what was really great was when I met you, I can see YOUR dad in you...what you had written about him and parts of him showed up on your person (I have never understood whenever someone used "your person" but here I am, using it...) it made me "see" your dad whenever I'd get back to re-reading what you've written about him...
I know you're going to be OK because you have "accepted" it as what it is...that, is a GIFT...one that he had given you...
bless you, my friend...and your family...
keeping you and your family in our thoughts...
