how cute!!!!! :D
I'd like to add:
I read a while back some cat expert book, who claimed that the more
physical handling/attention paid to kittens, the more "interesting" and
dog like (coming when called, following on hikes, etc)... the cats become.
In other words, more human responsive. Our youngest cat was raised in a home with small children...and she is the most interesting cat we have ever had.
When we adopted her...one the children --around 8yrs old--- came running in from school...and kissed her good-bye, calling her Oreo-- so I kept that name.
She also was extremely DEPRESSED with US...we were not like the children she was used to! It took her two weeks to recover and mourn that loss. She still has a HUGE need to play...so we do that for her still (6 yrs later).
Cats have the old rep that they are "independent"... but that has not been my experience. I spoil mine like crazy, talk to them, etc. And they are all extremely eccentric as a result! :p
So on the heels of this tragic loss of Millie, I guess giving attention to these
two little treasures is a "waste of breath". I bet you are loving them to pieces!

Oh they are sooooo cuuuuuuuute!:D :) ;) :)
I love kittens.
Welcome to the family cuties!
Judy
They're just adorable little kitties!
Are they moggy type cats or not? Just wondering. They look to me as if they are Burmese or at least have Burmese in them with that colouring and fur.
I love the names too. We used to have two darling chooks named Midnight and Jackie. Not sure why Jackie, but of course, Midnight was jet black lol
You'll all be able to dance around the house now singing "I'm being followed by a moonshadow, moonshadow, moonshadow." :D

:D Lara! yes....I sure am singing that ole song a lot:p
We know they both come from an abandoned mama cat plus litter where all the but 2 of the 8 kitties were this blue-grey and two ginger.....but that is as far as their "pedigree" goes LOL
Twilight is a lil ruffian and very very adventurous, whereas Shadow is more quiet, but oh so affectionate.
Both have started purring loudly at us so I guess we have been accepted:)
They are soooooo precious!

Congratulations!!
They certainly are adorable.I also love the names...
Mrs D is so right about the advice she gave.
My 7 yr old cat Felix is more responsive than any other cat i have ever encountered!
He sat in a chair a few months ago and watched my husband take down our front storm door and install another one.The whole time he could have run out but he sat there just watching him..LOL
I know you and your family will just give these lil babies lots of love and attention...
I am so happy for you!!:D

They are such cuties, Chemar!
I read a while back some cat expert book, who claimed that the more
physical handling/attention paid to kittens, the more "interesting" and
dog like (coming when called, following on hikes, etc)... the cats become.
MrsD, I think I believe that there is probably a big difference depending upon their environment in those formative years (months). Our Tony cat was given so much attention. My husband was still in school with just a couple classes and had a lot of free time. Tony used to ride on his shoulder all the time, while he did dishes, walked around, etc. She had a lot of 'dog like' qualities in temperment, although I know the cat 'aloofness' is fairly stereotype. I would agree a lot depends on their 'childhood'.

just took a pic of our two kitties snoozing on my son's bed (that's Twilight on the bottom and Shadow above)
http://i21.photobucket.com/albums/b283/almasattic/Picture006b.jpg
they continue to delight us, although they are also getting into all that kitty mischief like "ooooooooooh! curtains!! lets scoot up 'em":D and Twi has a new game of stalking Gravy, one of our adult cats. Gravy does NOT like to keep finding Twi peering round everything at her:p
Altho Shadow is still half the size of Twilight and a lot quieter, he is beginning to copy big bro a lot, and their wrestling and chasing games are a treat to watch.
That Shadow has the most interesting face! Both of them look like
they will be handsome beautiful animals.
Thanks for posting that pic... it is really adorable!
