YAY! We're home! I hope the rest of us find their way here!
Welcome to old friends and new! I don't know some of you, but I have lurked and read your posts. I LOVE your sense(s) of humor(s). That sounded stupid, but I think you know what I mean.
There are a few of us from the old board who adopted each other and cheered each other on to lose weight and exercise together. That's why the references to the cheerleaders. Everyone is a cheerleader. Just email me a pic, and you're in! We cheer each other on to success! We also do "virtual walks" together. Everyone is welcome to join in. I have to fess up. Since BT has been down, I haven't been walking. BAD JAN, BAD!! I need you guys to motivate me....
I hope we get tons of people on here so we can all help each other. Things aren't so bad when done together. I loved the suggestion someone had about the applesauce in the brownie mix. I can't remember where I saw it. Maybe it was in the other thread. I'll hafta go look. That would make a great thread, wouldn't it? Low fat recipes, or recipe substitutions.
Actually we're just a bunch of goofs, screwing around, having fun while working toward a common goal. That would be awesome to have a bunch of new faces to adopt(join) us!
I look forward to meeting a lot of new people so we all can share ideas, stories, recipes, and whatever!
Thanks DocJohn for the forum!! You are a Godsend!!
Hugs,
Jan--alias HC

Our all girls Catholic high school was across the street from a convent...
and the sweetest grapes I have EVER tasted were the ones we'd get of a fall night from the convent vineyards....
Or maybe it was apples.
I just remember us all sneaking in and getting the off limits treasure.
And I remember us sitting in whoever's car and talking and laughing and eating the plundered fruit. :D

I feel quite at home! I'm Alicia...mom to four kids with mitochondrial encephlomyopathy, as well as myself having the adult onset, and epilepsy.
Other then that,m Im a typical, fun person who needs to eat better! Lose some weight...and be around a group of positive people! Looming forward to getting to know many of you!

Hi to all of you, I have belonged to the old forum of weight loss and was known as BC. Not sure if it stands for Billie Cheerleader or Before Christ. Anyway Jan gave me the name, so it's hard to tell. She cracks me up sometimes.
I was saying on another post, take those green grapes, the whole cluster, wash, drain, and put them in the freezer. They are delicious! You would think they would be hard, they are not for a couple days. They are gone by then anyway, so don't worry about it. Anyone got a tip or hint we can use, just come on in with it. We love new ideas.
Billie:)

Hey BC--meet Big C! Oh, Big C, I think I forgot to tell you, you just seem like Big C, dunno why..... The others um...er....might have gotten their nicknames by me too, but no one can really prove it, so we don't definitely, positively, know for sure........
I think we missed rollcall today.....oh well, there's always tomorrow! I see there's some new guys. YIPPIE! I don't have too much time tonight, so I'll formally welcome ya tomorrow!
Anyone wanna be a cheerleader---generic or real? Send a pic if ya wanna be. Oh, and Big C--I COULD be sneaky--I checked out your website....... ok, so I'd never do that without your permission, but I can still think about how much fun it would be to surprise ya!!!
Hugs,
LS
PS--They had a right to know GC! They will be supportive!

Hey, everybody! :)
I was on the old forum a couple of times, but not a frequent poster. I started Weight Watchers last year, on August 18, and as of yesterday, I have lost 82 pounds!!!! :D At the risk of sounding elitist, I have to say this is the best weight-loss program on the planet. They teach you everything you need to know. You don't have to give up any of your favorite foods, you learn to portion it all, know when you're actually in need of food, get your proper nutrients, etc, etc. I started at over 300 lbs--no joke!--and my first thought when I saw it in print was, "Oh, God...now I need an open MRI! They're hard to find around here!" Well...not anymore!
Please, if you can, check this program out. It has given me my life back, and I will never be fat again!! www.weightwatchers.com gives you all the dirt.
God bless,
LIZARD :)

Hi Jan, I love your laughing mouse!!!!
I'm glad you got a giggle.
You know the first thing I did this morning was take my coffee grounds outside to my garden and walk around. I felt so much better this morning and I KNOW it was because of this forum and the support and feeling like it's not hopeless. thank you all SO much. (and the walking I did yesterday morning, as a result of this support forum, helped too.) :D
