There is a new website for people living with someone else's PD, Your Parkinson's Family," (http://yourparkinsonsfamily.com/)
founded by Paul Short, PhD. My spouse has been attending Dr. Short's real live support group for several months, with a marked improvement in our family harmony, understanding, and trust. Dr. Short is also my therapist, helping me deal with the burden of PD, and may be the only neuropsychologist in private practice specializing specifically in PD. I cannot recommend his work highly enough.

The site just went up, so here's your chance to contribute and help get things moving.

Jaye...I just did a cursory "read" of the new website and very much liked the concept, i.e., the "team approach" to PD. So often, the forums are geared to either the pwp OR the carepartner. I believe that I, for one, am among few carepartners at NeuroTalk. It's kind of nice to know that there's an "all-in-one" concept at this new forum. I must say, though, that I have always felt comfortable and welcome at NeuroTalk even though I knew that I was among the minority there...and I wouldn't think of giving up my contact with all the people I've "met" there...just wanted to let you know, Jaye, that I had visited the new forum and found it to be appealing. Thank you for directing me to it.
