This is so fascinating, Tim. Thanks for posting it here. I have read it some half a dozen times and something suddenly struck me.... That those with Aspergers also have difficulty (relative inability) to recognize expressions and thus interpret what others are feeling.

Not that I think or mean to imply there is any comparison at all between the two conditions. But what intrigues me is that the brain is doing something that acts, on the surface, the same way. And both from the same general area of the brain. And both stem from physical differences in the brain - not found in "normal folk". So why is that? Is it something there at birth? Does it happen later? WHY does it happen? And, please Great Whoever, may mankind someday be able to correct these brain deficiencies by the use, perhaps, of stem cells....
