Hi all,
I am new to this part of the forum. As a matter of fact i did not even know this part existed. I need to know if anyone is selling a 4 wheeled walker with a seat that is easy and light to fold and lift into car. I currently have rsd and really need a cheap walker due to my disease. Right now i am using a made up crutch so I don't have to put weight on my hand, but that is currently causing me a lot more pain and swelling in my legs and feet as well as throwing my hip out. So if anyone knows of someone that is trying to sell a 4 wheeled walker for cheap please let me know. I checked at wal-greens yesterday and tried one to see if i would like it and I could not believe the difference in all parts of my body. I just can't afford to pay $140 plus tax right now. My husband is the only one working cuz the rsd has caused me so much pain that I don't think it is possible for me to work. We are paying $800 plus in meds every month and are barely making it by. So please let me know. I would really appreciate it more that words can say. Thank you for taking the time to read this.

Sincerely,
Tracy Tracy(screwballpookie)

do you have any thrift stores nearby?
Often I see nice wheelchairs and all types of walkers and accessories - esp at the larger Goodwill stores.

I have a couple salvation army stores around where I live and I go to them looing for them but they never seem to have the 4 wheel walkers just the walkers with no wheels. I wouldn't be able to use those because my hands are affected by grasping. I did try the four wheel walker and it made it so much easier for me to use. It helped take some of the pressure on my legs and feet and I think it is better so my hip stays in place. Thank you very much for your idea. It is a great idea.

O my gosh! That is the exact same one I tried out at Wal-greens for $140. Yes I do have a sams club near me. I did not know they sold that kind of stuff. I will have to go check that out. Thank you SOOOOOOOOOO Much! You have made my day a lot better than it has started out. I really appreciate your help. You are the best. Thanks again. As you can see I am so excited.

You can order it online and have it shipped to the store if they don't have it.

I checked at ours on Sunday. They have them back by the pharmacy. The pharmacist said to ask if you don't see one or just call.

I'm glad I could help Tracy.

By the way, what you want is often called a rollator. Goodwill will give you one for free with a MD Rx. They will even put you on the waiting list if they happen to be out of them. Also try Catholic Charities or certain disability related orgs (like NMSS chapter, spinal cord assoc, etc)
