Anyone have the receipe to make scented bath salts?
I have mason jars and ribbon for a few gifts.
Also, the rice filled, scented Bed Buddy with a sock?
I made some cookies and filled Tin's, but just like a bit more to share of homemade type gift...

My son made me some three years ago and I've used it sparingly because it's so sweet. He walked in the other night on my bubblebath and asked me why I didn't use his stuff. I told him that I just loved that he made it, but saw the look in his eyes that he wanted me to use it so I did. Sniff it's all gone but I got a nice snuggle later on!

Homemade Bath Salts!
2 1/2 lb. Epsom Salts
Food Coloring
Perfume or scented oil
Combine Epsom salts with food coloring and perfume in a large bowl. Mix well so color is even. Put into smaller jars and let stand 4-6 weeks before using. This causes the odor to blend with the salts.
This bath salt is very soothing and makes for a very relaxed bath.

And might I add, Epsom salts are excellent for helping with muscle ache and pain. I always have them handy. They've been used for years and years for therapeutic baths.
Problem is, to really get the best use for aches and pain, you have to use a good amount, at least a cup full. When I really ache from the myofascia or fibro, I use a LOT in my bath and soak for 20 minutes.
Nice idea Julie!
And DiMarie...can I be one of your best friends that you are giving those lovely gifts to????? :D

Thanks so much,
Yes I use straight old epsom salts for the muscle pains of chronic pai, mega good. I did see it takes weeks to soak in tough? I can tell the DIL that I guess she will wait.
The scented oils, are they like the ones for candy? or where woould I find them?
LOL, IF you don't mind a baggie mailed I will send it along Doody.
I think I like lavendar? Umm. I will do some stopping on the way to work. I think the same things are used in the sock with rice?
I agree at least a Cup or if big tub, 2 cups to relly have a grand soak.
I have work at 3:00 pm today so I better run if going to find some of the items!
Thanks for links and ideas...
