Egyptian Mau

Has anyone seen the Mean Kitty videos on YouTube? The kids and I got a kick out of them. DH is now fascinated with the Egyptian Mau and wants to get one. Unfortunately, they cost about $2000! I told him that might be a good "retirement" hobby, when the kids are grown and gone.

Cute. LOL. I see Mean Kitty has his own you tube web site now. Apparently they haven't made recent videos because poor Sparta may have leukemia and has been limping. I hope the little sweetie recovers.

I named my kitten Sugar cuz he was so small and sweet when I found him. But now he is MEAN, just like Sparta! :cool:

I always loved that "mean Kitty video"...his first one is the best

Yes to both, MrsD. Sparta was recently dxd with feline leukemia, according to the latest post on his site. I don't know what treatment there is for that, but I was very sad to find that out. I think since it hasn't been long ago that Picabo died, it really upset me to think about him being sick.

Sparta is an Egyptian Mau - Cory talks about it in one of the earlier videos. Ever since I got my Iphone, when I'm stuck somewhere having to wait, I pull it out and surf YouTube. It's like a big smorgasboard of info, from trivia on up, and I can always find a few minutes entertainment. Thus, the random thread.

Watching the YouTube video of the Mean Kitty song made me remember a kitty I had back when I was 20 or so and still living at home. I don't even remember its gender or name, but what I do remember is everytime I put hosiery on for church, he'd ambush me and put long runs in my hosiery.
