Well now I have seen it ALL!!!
Check this out. It's a new product (they even make it with chocolate. It comes in powedered form. It's NOT EXPENSIVE AT ALL. And it has little fat and 3 grams of carbs. Anyone ever heard of this?

And is this healthy, or not healthy?
Thanks to anyone who pokes around this site and comes back and gives info.

I believe it just might be a good thing. I'm going to work on getting some.
But the closest market is about 2 hours away. But I like the fact the sodium is low too. This is really good for another of my problems.
Thanks for the site, if and when I get this I'll repost the taste part.

Donna:
Can't wait until you get to taste this.
Sounds VERY interesting and a big help to diabetics who need a little SOMETHING at night. Maybe a slice of an apple, with some of this new peanut butter thingee!!!

Well, it is the good fats in peanut butter that confer its beneficial properties for preventing heart attacks.
For dieters who want protein only, and don't care about the health benefits of real peanut butter, I suppose it is okay.
But I wouldn't use it myself.
People with diabetes need good fats in the diet. They stabilize the blood sugar and provide slower stomach emptying as well.
There are peanut butters with no added sugar. Those are the ones I advocate. (not ones like JIF.)
Just my opinion.

Thanks MrsD
I personally have to have a peanut butter. So I've been looking
for one I can have. I eat the one that has no sugar added.
But I do like Jif too, but Peter Pan is and has been my favorite.
Hoping this one is okay.

I use Smart Balance now. It has flax oil (omega-3) added.
I can't live without peanut butter. It is one of my comfort foods.
I don't have it every day (more often on vacation), I even love it on pancakes! (adds protein to a high carb meal). I use very little syrup (I don't use sugars anymore much) and only real maple type--not the other types that are common now that are only high fructose corn syrup.
