Default How do I turn the power off on this scanner?

Hi All!!

Well, I hooked up the Microtek 4800. works fine, but there is no power button.

I'm afraid to leave it on because when I picked up the lid, the bright light was on. Doesn't that waste a bulb or something?

Instead of unplugging it from the outlet, can't I just unplug the power thing from the BACK of the scanner, and then when I want to use it, I can simply re-plug the thing back into it?

Will that un-install anything?

do I have to leave this thing plugged in 24/7?

Thanks much.

Funny, that something doesn't have a power button.

I did read (on some website), that it has a power saver option, BUT I CAN'T FIND OUT ANYTHING ABOUT THAT FEATURE.

thanks, Melody

[ Q. Why doesn’t my scanner have an on/off switch? How do I turn it off?

A.

We are providing you with a list of all the Microtek scanner models that do NOT have the ON/OFF power button feature.
The scanners listed below were designed to stay on as long as you have the power adapter connected to an AC power source. It is safe to leave the scanner on all the time. However you will not damage the scanner if you disconnect the power source when the scanner is not in use. ]

HAH!!!!!!
Now why did I see that!!!

I just unplugged it from the back. Light went off. Next time I want to scan anything, I'll just re-plug it into the back.

I learned how to insert whatever I scanned, into a Microsoft word document.

Next up (SCANNING AND SENDING AN EMAIL (VIA MY SCANNER).

Isn't it amazing what one can learn at age 62?

I wonder what I would be capable if I was 20 years old.

I'd probably BEAM ME UP SOMEWHERE!!!

lol
Thanks much

Melody
