Viral arthritis

Has anyone heard of this?
I recently had a cold virus, lasted about 2 weeks. While it was still going I had to visit my physio as my lower back was very sore all of the time.
He loosened up the joints and suggested that i might have a virus in the joints.
I thought....what the???
Earlier this week I had many days of mental cloudiness-where you can't think or concentrate-and just couldn't do anything. Lost a few days there. Felt like inflammation and irritation of the neck, but it wasn't particularly sore.
It suddenly improved late yesterday, the 5th day, and today is still good, so I think I've recovered.
I was then able to do some research, and I now think it was viral arthritis.
It usually clears up after a few days, thank goodness, as I was worried that I had taken a permanent turn for the worse.

I think what happens is that the virus stimulates the immune system, and inflammatory cytokines are then released in mass.

This process was explained during the H1N1 vaccine controversy last year. On a YouTube video....by Dr. Blaylock.

In essence it is called a cytokine storm. Dr. Blaylock explains in that video that the 1917 Pandemic caused so many deaths, because that virus also caused a cytokine storm in some patients. The cytokine storm is hard to treat and when it attacks the lungs causes an inflammatory pneumonia.

Some people get cytokine reactions from flu vaccines and others as well. This is the explanation for the development of illness following the vaccines. It is not the dead virus making people ill, but the reactions to the adjuvants used.

Fish oil, or krill oil, and antioxidants, like grape seed extract reduce internal inflammation. But I think we have all had viruses, that attack the neck or back. My grandmother used to call it "a cold in the neck, etc" .

The LymeRx vaccines caused an autoimmune arthritis too... that is why they were taken off the market. Evidently there is a biomarker blood test for the antigen that causes some people to develop this in response to vaccines.

Dr. Blaylock's videos are really informative...I think you will appreciate them!

Thanks MrsD, I think you've nailed it (again!).
It was something I've not had before, and I rarely get a cold or the flu. Definitely like a cold in the neck!

Hi, I am new here, but in 2002, about 2 months after a trip to New York (including upper state rural) I developed severe arthritis that lasted for 6 weeks. I tested negative for RA and even had a Baker's cyst behind my knee that had to be drained 3 times. I had severe body wide pain and exhaustion. All I did was sleep and only got up to take my meds. Doctor concluded was viral arthritis caused by exposure to something on my trip. I did get the flu towards the end of the arthritis.
After 6 weeks I was perfectly fine like nothing ever happened. However in2007 I was diagnosed with RA along with other autoimmune loveliness. I have no idea if the viral arthritis and the RA are related, but yes there is such a thing as viral arthritis.

So, the plot thickens!
I must ask my doctor next visit if he is aware of it.
another symptom that I had was a problem with my left jaw joint. Eating on that side would result in sharp pains to the neck and shoulder.
Doctor suggested it was referred pain from a tooth.
Dentist suggested a tooth infection, and found a mildly suspicious tooth in the area, and prescribed antibiotics.
Chiropractor suggested a strain from severe coughing.
Physio agreed with this one, then suggested viral arthritis.
Pains gradually eased after 3-4 weeks, and disappeared about the same time that the respiratory virus stopped.
So I am thinking that the jaw problem was also viral arthritis.
Just thought as well that my lower back has been constantly sore for this same time, whereas usually it gets better.
Might be another v.a. symptom.
