Good monday afternoon everyone

sandy...still praying for your mama

fin....feel better

tktc...glad your son is feeling better

kelly...tag sales are soooo much work...phew!: It is hard to part
with things sometimes, it can be very emotional.

debd, barb, tricia, sarah, vonn, holly, weav, super, everyone have
a great week!

Everyone is healthy, finally. My youngest and I escaped the flu, yay!
Today I have all the windows open, airing out all the germs.

Getting ready for the Vets parade on Wednesday, our girl scout troop is
marching. We are having hot cocoa and donuts following the parade.
My dd , her friend, and I dipped spoons in choc and wrapped them in
cellophane and ribbons yesterday. We will use them in the hot cocoa, yum.

Anyway ...I wanted to leave hugs for the room.

My sister called me and said when she went to visit mom she was talking to a "third" person. My sister sat with her at lunch and mom kept talking to someone else, who isn't there. I still want her hearing checked. I've often heard that some people will pretend to hear you and say things that don't make sense because they are embarrassed to admit they can't hear what you said. Now, don't get me wrong, my sister is pretty sure mom is talking to someone who's not there but I think we should cover all bases as well. That's all I know. The doctor hasn't called us back. She is receiving speech therapy. We found that out this weekend.

Oh Sandy hugsss big HUGSSSSSSSSSSSSSS this must be tough far away!! I know when my dad was going thru all his cancer stuff, my sisters who live in lower MI were feeling lost so far away! hugssssss

Sunny day, Maddie and I walked and stopped at the beach.. we played in the sunshine... beautiful sparkling off the water! almost 60 today... or maybe it is 60s... whatever it is wonderful!!

The Cymbalta prescription is being called in now, I will try it for the pain, and see... suppose to take one week and call neuro... then he can assess how it is and decide on weaning some baclofen or what the plan will be.

hugsss all, sarah

Good afternoon, all. Sandy, good idea to have your mom's hearing checked. My MIL's got 2 hearing aids, yet she has to lip read. Her hearing's fine...the aids help, but the hearing aid tester said (when my MIL had her hearing aids out so she couldn't hear us) that her brain's not processing what she's hearing.
So your mom might be hearing something, but not processing it well. Keep us informed, if you would. It's hard, I know. Take care of yourself...

Vonn, my aunt had a knitting machine...she made me a really pretty shawl. I always wanted one, since it's so difficult knitting. But that is kind of low on the list right now.

Sox, glad DS is better...

Went for the preop checkup. My weight has skyrocketed again...probably due to sleeping so much over the last month or so. I told my pcp I am not completely sure about having this surgery. I've lived with the problem for years now, even though it makes "being close" with DH uncomfortable. She told me when I see the surgeon to ask him about risks, etc. and voice my feelings. But the nurse said, "Oh my gosh, have it done!!" I just hate the idea of ruining Thanksgiving (and our Christmas celebration that weekend) and not being able to do much for 3 whole months.
Oh well...I need to get some laundry done before mountain climbers arrive to scale the mound...
Have a great evening!

one reason for my to have skipped cymbalta.. the expense... one month worth $38. for me... I usually only pay $10. a script... but wow 38. oh well.. I picked it up... and I will take it tonight I think... then for week take all three kinds...

funny I was there and they said they had another script ready... I said really I did not expect another... it was for tramadol... ?? I was like I still have some at home.. no need for refill.. then said actually wanted to talk to pharmacist about the two drugs together..

pharmacist did say yes those two together, can lead to serotonin build up to dangerous amount... if happens can be life threatening well I think if greater amount that I took tramadol. But then the other lady asked well do you want this script..of the tramadol... I was like NO I did not need more and I think I will skip it as a pain medicine if reaction could be with the cymbalta.

I am a medicine baby though... I hate trying new and all... wish me luck.. hugssss, sarah

Sheesh, Sarah...good thing you were smart and asked questions. Who would have thought? Hmmm. How about calling your doc and letting him know what the pharm told you?

Okay...I didn't call the neuro...I felt okay most of the afternoon...spasms in legs were at a minimum...not fatigued. Until about 5. Then shins tightened up and I am a bit (okay quite) uncomfortable. I just don't know what to say when I call. Plus...I must admit...I am totally phonephobic. I absolutely HATE calling anyone. Grrr.

Oh, Kelly, I am so worried about your area getting hit with torrential rains again...let us know how you're doing...

Someone say my name? Hiya Soxmom!

Evenin' all. Stepping out of the shadows long enough to let inquiring minds know I'm still around. I come here to lurk at least once a day. Hugs and prayers for everyone, need them or not.

So what is new in my little corner of the world??? Hmm. Well I did find a website that lists 11,000 career ideas. If I can't find a handful of options in that list I am a lost cause.

So far I have avoided the germs that are finding everyone else. It is only a matter of time before my luck runs out on that.

My raynaud's keeps reminding me it is brr season. Like I need the reminder.

Keeping busy, getting in trouble, feeling fine other than cold.

Must behave and get some work done.

Have a great one!

hey sweetie .. I can't wait to move to set it up ... mine is a fine - and then going to get involved in a 'knitting machine club' .. can I talk you into joining (someday??) ... or you can just come up and visit and hang out ..

UPDATE:
good news - received my 'to whom it may concern' from my neuro for the lawyer ... and boy, did she do a great job on emphasizing the liver enzymes and identified the new diagnosis of Sjogren's disease, too ... will be making a copy to send it to the lawyer - this should help, don't know how much - but she knows more than him about my 'issues' ... writing everything down for him is real depressing ...

tried to have a good day today - even tho, everything was going wack-o on me physically .. but, I defeated the beasts ... :
